Re: Using a .22lr revolver as a backup HD gun, what bullets?

maybe you could look at it like this, take the .22 and just shoot the crap out of it untill you step up to something a little bigger.i could suggest my choices for a better .22 be it revolver or a neat little auto. but if your going to spend that money then why not just get a glock or something in t...

Re: .22lr vs .17hmr for bug out rifle

Not a hunter. Can someone tell me why its unethical or frowned upon to used 22lr for bigger game? Besides laws . tapp tapp tapp tappatalk Rimfire rounds generally lack the power to cleanly and humanely kill larger game. In a desperate situation and a .22 or .17 is all you have, sure, might as well ...

Re: Recommend Inexpensive Pistol for Bear

im just glad that your taking a gun into bear country, i will never understand the idea of going unarmed....you know,... people are time and time again killed or injured by a bear or big cat because they were only armed with spray or sometimes less...morons. as far as keeping it inexpensive and in m...

Re: why an AR?

The AR is not the be all and end all of all long gun needs. It is what it is. If someone wants to rock on with a pistol caliber carbine, I say go for it. If somebody feels they need the long range punch of a .308, more power to 'em. If the next guy just wants to punch paper with a .22 or even a bre...

tired of the AR-15

the AR-15 and its varients seem overrated and impraticle for everyday use. you make your purchase, spend double the amount you paid on gizmo's to pretty it up and what do you have? oh sure theyre cool as hell and fun to brag about but serve no purpose in every day life. get you a good lever action o...

i would like to see Ruger build a .410/.45 Blackhawk snake gun based on the Blackhawk that i could carry when riding my 4wheeler or on fishing trips. it would be similar to the Judge.....only a lot better.

Re: Good Single Action Revolvers

Cimarron's good stuff, and those conversions do look pretty sweet. The Rugers are a little more practical, but that's certainly not the only thing that matters. :) well my wife has some good stuff and she looks pretty sweet too...shes not very practical at times..hmmmm may i should trade her lol......

I played with one a couple months ago. Neat, for sure, but for accuracy and reliability, I'd take my Ruger MKI any day of the week. the AR-7 is not meant to be a match grade tack driver, its just a good tool that does its job no more or no less. i would like to have a ruger also but would not want ...
