Re: Anyone seen one of these before? (cookset)

Googling Images for "Triangular Wearever Cook" shows a couple of possibilities. Yup - that worked. http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mblLTjUsVfYKKwFOH17nGPA.jpg Investigating further. I tried Googling images for "heart shaped cookset" and "triangle shaped cookset", but nothing relevant came up.

Anyone seen one of these before? (cookset)

Came across this at an estate clean out. Holds 0.75 gallons US, 5.75"H x 6.50"W (at the point) x 8.50" L. SAK shown for relative size comparison. Looking for info on origin, date of manufacture, etc. It is missing the lid handle which I can easily fabricate a replacement for. There is some lettering...

Re: Appleseeds, experiences and questions

Anyone done an AS in the fall/winter months? I've been to several AS events in NH during the winter months. There are a few other venues around New England (and probably the nation) that also host "Winterseeds". http://www.longislandfirearms.com/blahdocs/uploads/winterseed_patch_3523.jpg No snow, b...

Re: NFA Wait Times

Glad to hear it only took you five months! I've had a Form 4 in the pipeline since 3/7/13. I finally got mine after 51 weeks of waiting. I started another form 4 on 3/17/14 for a .22LR suppressor. This was the first e-filing I've done, so hopefully I'll be like you and only have to wait five months.

Re: USGI Mess Kit Or Canteen Boiler cup? Better Options?

I love the USGI Mess Kit for cooking on a stove. Very often it is my go-to cooking vessel. However, it wouldn't be my first choice for cooking over an open fire. Re: Practice winter overnighter

Thanks for all the positive comments. As for submitting this thread to the Winter MBO, I never really considered it. After all, this was just a short practice trip and not a mock bug out. I do veggies a lot too when camping and for morning left overs I think its hard to beat an easy crustless quiche...

Practice winter overnighter

In preparation for a longer trip in a few weeks, I had some friends over to spend the night out in my tipi. I parked my pulk against a tree in order to keep the traces out of the way. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee212/adchesney/Winter%20Weekend%20Number%202%20Jan%202014/DSCF0597.jpg After pit...

If you expect to do any road side repairs, having a Tyvek suit behind the seat will do a good job as a rain suit and to keep your nice clothes clean.

Re: what two person tent for backpacking?

I have looked around but there just seems to be an overwhelming amount of options out there. I am looking for a two person tent for my wife and I that would be used during backpacking or potentially during a bugout situation. Being from NH we kind of run the full range of weather up here, so a floo...

Having the "wilderness" component added to a 1st aid / 1st responder class is well worth it if you spe...
