Re: All purpose "Help me build my Glock" thread

Glockstore G42 parts came in... https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-qds54BC/0/68283a40/XL/i-qds54BC-XL.jpg Fun fact, the trigger set I bought has the titanium nitride-coated safety plunger included; I could have saved $28 if I’d known/noticed that. Anyone want the extra for $20 plus shipping? No R&R...

Re: Z-UK

Well that was a fast change of heart! Not quite sure yet that it’s in character...may need to develop him/his character a bit between scenes to show the transition.

Nice update regardless!

Re: All purpose "Help me build my Glock" thread

Any know a good spot for Glock 23 slides and parts? I don't want a .40, but it'd be nice to get a .40 barrel, .357 barrel, and 9mm barrel to be a multicaliber SHTF beater gun You’re welcome: https://www.glockmeister.com/GlockBarrelCompatibility.asp 9mm: https://www.glockmeister.com/Storm-Lake-40-SW...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Well, the G42 mag is no longer for a gun I don’t own. Purchased one under the Blue Label program for $360 plus tax; then promptly spent another $330 on mods (complete trigger assembly including new springs and 3.5# disconnector, tungsten guide rod with slightly softer recoil springs, titanium nitrid...

An extended mag for a Glock 42...a gun I don’t even own! Taking the wife to the range to try one (rental) in our continuing search for the perfect purse gun for her. Just finished the first episode of Black Summer... meh. Already as frustrated as I was with Walking Dead (never finished the second season). People this stupid don’t survive.

I know, I know... suspension of disbelief.

Thanks! Good updates... And the inevitable frustration and sadness sets in when I realize people this nice would never make it. Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

I was looking something up in the online manual for my S&W M&P .45 Shield today and came across an ammo listing chart that I do not remember from the printed manual (which I seem to have lost) and in that chart found that the gun is rated for +P ammo. My current carry ammo is Federal 230gr HST whic...

Re: Glock 43, the gun I wanted to hate

I bought a 43 for my wife a couple years ago, but she still prefers to shoot and carry a .22LR pistol, or just grab a rifle. I too love how easy it is to truly conceal...almost as good as my little 5-shot .22WMR “bikini” gun! :awesome: https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-VhcjVhL/1/0129fd3a/XL/i-Vhcj...

Re: Maybe prepare for another ammo shortage?

After posting originally I took stock of what I had and realized I’m good to go. I had “lost” about 14 ammo cases in the garage. So I’m pretty well stocked for anything I can plan. Im sitting as I shoot normally, im at a 3 year supply. That’s shooting what I shoot normally and never replenishing an...

I’ll add just one bit of advice I always give in this type situation... take her to a range that has a good selection of rentals and find out what she likes and can shoot well. And get a professional instructor who doesn’t know her if that’s an option for you. When my buddy does his “wives and girlf...

I “converted” my G21 to 45 Super/450 SMC last year for bedside duty (with 185 grain hollow points), and if I were to ever carry it anywhere I’d potentially run into anything in the Ursidae family (with 255gr hard cast flat nose bullets). https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-BHLSbL7/0/3d5cbf20/XL/i-BH...

Re: Are AR15 FSP set ups obsolete?

The couple I built with an FSP were more about sturdiness and a distinct “look” for that particular upper; though not so much for aesthetics as to allow me to easily distinguish the 5.56 upper from one chambered in 300BLK, etc. for that particular build. Both of mine happen to be on SBR’d lowers Thi...
