Re: Walmart prep: afordability vs quality

(Something to think about): I've decided that the next time I go to Walmart, I am going to purchase myself a hammock from the camping section. I feel like that would be the safest way to sleep outdoors during a zombie apocalypse. (Get up high so you can see them coming from a distance and have a de...

I'm planning on running a SOG flash 1 as EDC and Spyderco Manix 2 XL as back up. I'm thinking that's a pretty decent combo.

does anybody here think that a P90 or Kriss would be sweet to have in other calibers?

both those platforms are awesome, but only available in a single caliber.

I wonder how many 9mm rounds would fit in a P90 mag.

Re: Saiga 12 Gauge * Auto-loading Shotgun Build *

Here's my freshly converted zombie popper. started off at 7-lbs in the stock format. Shes now a portly 8-lbs. The 13.1oz DPH stock is the main culprit. Shes wearing the stock handguard since I'm really unimpressed with the markets offerings. I want something super light and short enough to not exten...

Landscaping in the PAW

no seriously, hear me out. I was driving though my neighborhood the other day and noticed that most yards are very nice and clean with the grass mowed and flowers blooming etc. Then I saw a for sale/bank owned house and the 36" tall weeds got me thinking about the PAW. When it hits, maintaining that...

Seriously people? We're talking about an extinction level event. As one of maybe 5 people left in the world, you'll still be "standing your ground" and guarding the gate all in the name of duty? That's just silly. There's a difference between ditching when it get hard/scary versus ditching when ther...

props to those that train their dogs to do actual work - valuable work, not just fetching a stick. and as far as cats go, I do agree that being an active mouser is a good thing if you have a farming homestead. But lemme ask you cat guys this, how many people do you know have mousers? The only cat I ...

Re: Pets in a PAW

not having another mouth to feed is a good thing. also, if you're trying to keep absolutely silent, having an animal could be a problem. say there is a horde outside your window. they're very close but about to pass you buy. at that moment your dog gets spooked and barks. guess what, you're toast. Y...

Re: Mossy 590 vs 590A1

I went with the 590A1. When I started my gun collection I decided to only purchase the most impossibly durable and reliable guns possible. Thats why I ended up with the Mossy 590A1 and a VEPR AK. The debate was long and hard, but I went with the 18.5" mossey - model 51517 all metal, heavy barrel, gh...

Better (two contact mounting points): http://www.tac47industries.com/images/products/AK%20REAR%20SIGHT%20RECEIVER%20RAIL%20SYSTEM.jpg the Krebs rail is probably the best of all worlds, but at $300 bucks... :( man. Re: New super low-profile optic solution for the AK

this was exactly the kind of mount I was looking for. too bad its not that strong. I'm running a SGM rail - the two things that I don't really like about it are 1) its plastic, 2) it screws into the trunion - so if I want to open the cover, I have to bust out a philips. I actually considered just sa...

Re: New M35's - available?

Thanks for the info guys. The refurb by OEM seems like the best option but it is interesting that civs can't buy one brand new - its not like they have top secret components. Obviously if the Mil is releasing these things into the surplus market, they are being replaced by something else - thats the...

New M35's - available?

So whats the deal with these deuce's? it seems like the only place to get them is from surplus places and they're all like 40-50 years old. There's a wiki (I know I know) that says that they're still in production. Is that true? if so, is it possible to get a late model version? seems silly to buy a...

what color paint is that? it looks like a semi gloss black. not quite matte, but not shiny either. I love it.

I hope to have a project vehicle someday. :(

I still think you should put provisions in for window guards.

oh and spikes.....lots of spikes!
