Re: Camp Fire

I am seeing posts suggesting that people leave a large visible message for firefighters to allow them to avoid checking your house such as: "House is empty, all have fled to safety." Followed by an evacuation route and planned safe destination. This would help out rescue crews. I would probably put...

Re: Camp Fire

Another reason I believe all preppers should have a bugout option. I cannot tell you how many preppers I hear say "I am staying in my home. I am not leaving or bugging out for any reason. I"ll just die in my house." I think it would really depend on the reason for the bugout for me. Anything enviro...

There's a lot more detail in the links found inside the story on the site. Essentially they want the typical childhood vaccinations and, just because they are adults does not mean they have full immunity to the viruses being inoculated against. They do mutate over time after all, and immunity can we...

Anti-vaxx Issues

Okay, this is a hot-button topic and, truthfully, I wasn't sure just which sub to put it in since it could fit in a few. I think it fits best here but... please keep it civil.

Makin' any sense?

The Tinfoil Hat Brigade is going to go nuts with the conspiracy theories on this, not even two full days after the elections, and also the day RBG falls in her office and breaks three ribs. I think I'm going to have to stay off certain local ham radio frequencies where the THB ragchews will be going...

We know what the machine gun did to war in the late 1800's and early 1900's. AI weapns will do the same, I suspect.
We ZS folk should probably gather ours now before the 2068 AI Weapon Control Act and various Assault AI bans take effect.

It wasn’t clear why the “red flag” order was issued. A spokeswoman for the Maryland Judiciary denied a request from the Baltimore Sun to release protection order requests associated with the home, citing the law which states the orders are confidential unless a court rules otherwise. Can anyone recommend any good battery testers for AA batteries? I bought this one the other day. It is cheap and reliable. It does test under a small load. That said I use this to get an indication and not an exact level. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OCBSASM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?...

Re: Check your batteries, even the ones you have stored

I have a package of 40 Duracell AA alkalines with an expiration date on them of March 2027 that I purchased at Costco this past spring. I noticed that they didn't seem to be lasting very long in flashlights, then I started finding dead ones. Right now I have 26 of them that are completely dead, fres...

Re: In the market for an axe--recommendations?

Looking for an axe. Or two. Purposes: Felling trees and processing firewood. I'm thinking I'm good with getting an orphaned head or just an older (hopefully quality) axe. Or I could go new. I would like, in no particular order, a full-sized, 36" axe with a 3.5-4# head and a forest-type, 20-26" hand...
