So, guns and bullets are "non-prep" items for you?

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

2) Caliber is largely irrelevant. Bullet design is what we need to look at. Properly constructed bullets at the intended velocity are far more important than what caliber you shoot. Hmmm really? So a properly constructed .25 acp hollow point is better than a .45 cal FMJ ? Even if that .25 penetrate...

I am equally shocked, appalled and thrilled to be the first to say guns and bullets. Y'all think about food too much.

Re: Bug Out Gear Deals (Post 'em when you find 'em) I

Too much talk, not enough deals... Obviously websites that require account registration are different from the members-only websites mentioned in the original rule as posted. If the rule stands, then those members-only places could have a thread of their own, especially since there are always alway...

Re: Bug Out Gear Deals (Post 'em when you find 'em) I

Thread Rules; The idea is not to provide gear reviews, start comparisons or debate about vendors/websites. Most people already have their opinions and you can always start a seperate thread asking for a review or compare. Let's avoid links to members-only and deal-of-the-day websites. These sites h...

Re: What's your favorite non-prep prep item?

At $20 for 100 sticks on Amazon , and one stick for every 3 ounces of water, for a normal sized mug you're looking at 60 cents per. Not a horrific price but not very cheap either. Might be better to make your own using a roll of heat seal bags and a bag sealer. Could be worse, some really mean pers...

Not that I put any real faith in them to prevent pilfering but it would seem that Plano is using the same key for all their cases these days. I have three different Plano cases, bought months apart, and all three cases came with the same keys. About the only good these latch locks do is to comply w...

Re: What's your favorite non-prep prep item?

Instant coffee that I bought for camping. I buy a Korean brand with sugar and creamer in it so all I have to do is add hot water; it comes in premade packets. I even keep some in my GHB. I make sure there are at least three boxes in the pantry all the time. Cool recommendation, Chaos454. I did a li...

It's a general requirement that all ZS global mods never be more than an arm's length from a loaded and ready to shoot firearm while using the site. 8-)

Re: Two CZ Clones Added Today

Interesting. Is the SAR B6P close enough to the CZ75 to use Kadet kits? I'm pretty sure it is not... since the SAR is a copy of the Witness which is a copy of the CZ. But then again, I don't have a Kadet kit or else I'd try. And I don't have a full size SAR B6 anymore, only the compact Interesting ...

Possibly, but at the price of a kit I could buy any of a number of decent .22LR pistols.
