Re: Axe for survival
Outland Equipment? I believe ? Their 19" Axe, their big baby. That weapon and a knife from Storm Crow ? And you can do just about anything. Strap that axe on your back, use some tomahawk techniques when it's close quarters, and of course , you can do the wood processing.

The Tactical Practical's sound like it was more of a technical rescue ? If it was Tech Rescue, I 'll bet you know the gear and threat are extremely different. What stage of care did they say you were entering in ? What type of NOD's did you use and was their any coverage of SELF AID - BUDDY AID - ME...

Re: Cold pack activating itself
Why is that essential again? The cold pack?............If there's a possible ankle sprain, ideally, you want someone to self-ambulate and keep their boot on till the trail head, I mean if it's a one day hike. It's safer for the team and them if they can walk out with a walking stick. If you have to ...

I got a knife from Storm Crow. It's been to places on the planet you couldn't imagine. Met the Russian Spetsnaz on the Ukrainian Contact line. Met the Tauregs in the Sahara.......I showed it to my grandson and told him "this is yours, and when you show me your ready, you can take this".

Re: Plate Carrier
Agree with these guys. But you say that the plates say, that they will stop 7.62X63 ? and they are military ? Green or black with SAPI on them? I've only seen X39, or X54, or X51..........when you hold them, is there a black like-rubber edge to them? I've just never seen any plates that say they'll ...

Good for you man, your right, it is unlikely it'll replace your career. I'll bet whatever you do pays more, gets more respect, has a retirement, and is safer............But, try and work some shifts professionally. Don't let that fact that your working with a Paramedic impress you. Trust me. That's ...

Re: First aid kit for a dog?
Battery powered clippers that are quiet, a basket muzzle so the dog can pant. Learn front leg access and external jugulars. Then, some telazol, dipravan, .9NS and some catheters with a drip set. Learn a modified Robert Jones dressing...Don't even attempt to touch the dog without the owner or handler...

See Merlin, knew you’d be good at this shit. I agree with everything you wrote. I’m not gonna getinto the fact that I was there for Afghanistan, Ukraine, and spent the last nine years, NINE YEARS in Africa doing now what’s all over the news. And I come home to find out that my friends and I aren’t e...

Let's see if I can not offend anyone with this reply. Merlin, excellent question, excellent question. I'm impressed. Now, think of the MANY ways they overlap and the ABSOLUTELY pivotal ways they differ. See, it's so fluid, with the evolving threat in America, my belief is that police will soon be ta...

(Sorry guys, I tried, just can't keep my mouth shut), sooooooooo, Madrik, do you have any medical experience? Have you ever rendered medical aid? Which country would the bags be made in? Where you ever in the military? Are you familiar with modules? Do you currently use a particular medical bag to r...

Good job. Good job. A couple small things. Your lucky you had no language barriers. Also, next time you need names, POC's, and contact numbers, is even go and meet those people .....and as soon as I got there I'd start looking for someone there that could be my backup in case I got hurt. Your medica...

Found out a little more of their history, political beliefs, didn't jive with my own. The whole "everyone is entitled to everything" , cops are the bad guys, and openly supporting dissemination of the countries wealth without the workload, again a no no , and supporting trumps death, is a no go. Whoops, your right. My apologies, If your looking for an anal-rectal rub or "aspercreme" go for it. If your looking for a local anesthetic of a medical grade level, in the USA, anything possibly used with a needle at 0.5-1%, your on the wrong site.
