Restoring and maintaining leather

Hi guys. I did some searching on the forum but didn’t find much on ways to restore and maintain leather products. I have several items that need attention, boots, a brand new hat, knife sheets and a gun sling from WW2. I would think that old and used leather have different needs than brand new leath...

Re: Holster for Glock 35 that protects the muzzle?

Gearcraft looks really good, even without the serpa-style retention! :) Need to check if it is possible to import it to norway. Thanks a lot for the link! Safariland also looks great for standard range use, but I already have a kydex holster that I like for that purpose. Don't remember the brand so ...

Re: Holster for Glock 35 that protects the muzzle?

The G35 is identical to the 34 except for being a .40 cal. I don't think it would be very comfortable wearing such a big and thick gun IWB? It's a full inch longer than a G17. Will look into those other options, thank you for your inputs :)

Holster for Glock 35 that protects the muzzle?

Hi guys. I have a Glock 35 and several holsters. I really like serpa holsters because of the locking system, but they don't protect the muzzle. Had the same issue with a Beretta I had, several times on a camping trip I hit the muzzle on a rock when I sat down without thinking about the gun on my hip...

Buying ATI AR22 stock for Ruger 10/22. Anyone got experience

Hi guys, greetings from Norway :) Living here I can't buy any of the AR15-style .22lr rifles so my only option is to by a stock to get my Ruger 10/22 as close as possible. I currently use an Archangel stock on it and it looks, feels and shoots very well! But it is all made from polymer and it is ver...

Re: I "need" a huge Bowie-style knife in high quality steel

Just a little update on my Ka-bar bk9. I have used this knife a lot and have tried 3 different edge setups. When I received the knive it was very dull, but set up with a 40 degree edge. I kept the same angle but got the edge really smooth with my jig. I finished off with 10k grid stone so it was ver...

Re: Looking for a big velcro panel for tactical vest

That shell dispenser might be useful, atleast for sporting use. Not sure if it would hold the shells while a person runs, throws him self to the ground and so on. But might be a good thing for IPSC or something if it doesn't hold up for hunting and shtf use. But the design makes me wonder if I shoul...

Re: Looking for a big velcro panel for tactical vest

I like the idea of the rifle mag pouch! Will need some shallow pouches for this as my regular ones for 30rnds 5.56 will be too deep for practical use. But I'm sure you guys are correct in that there is a lot of suitable poches :)

Looking for a big velcro panel for tactical vest

Hello everybody :) I already got a vest with magazine pouches and so on for use with my mini 14, now I want a vest for my remington 870. I have ordered a lot of velcro shell holders for the receiver and buttstock so that I can load up 10-12 extra shells on the gun and just rip the holders off and sl...

Which international newspaper/source?

Hi guys. I am trying to keep up and always have a general idea about important events around the globe, but I am not satisfied with norwegian news sources so I have to find something else. Sometimes I find a small article in a norwegian newspaper or on facebook and then I start googling about the ev...

Arma 3 Exile mod with zombies, npc's, base building.

Hi guys. I have recently started playing this mod for arma 3 and it is a lot better than any zombie game I have ever tried. The story of the game is that the is a prison where convicts are dropped in with parachute, a bottle of water and a pistol. There are traders around the island which sells just...

Re: I "need" a huge Bowie-style knife in high quality steel

Impressive work on those blades. I'm afraid it's a bit too expensive for my wallet for the time being, even if the prices are very fair. :) Have to add shipping and taxes :/ I just got a Ka-bar bk9 in the mail, I really needed a practical knife, now I can save up for a shiny and big blade. The bk9 i...

Re: I "need" a huge Bowie-style knife in high quality steel

Sorry for late reply, have been super busy! I am waiting for that cheap 10" knife, I want to get a feel for the size and weight so I can compare it with quality knives for the future. But I will purchase at least one good quality knife rather soon, I need a work horse for the spring and summe...

Re: I "need" a huge Bowie-style knife in high quality steel

Tried to find a timber rattler outlaw that would be cheap enough to stay under the limit for tax free import but had no luck. Then I found a nice carbon steel bowie that actually were cheap enough :) I don't expect much of a cheap blade like this, but it will look good on the wall at least. http://w...

I don't know if kydex is available locally, anyone tried working with plexiglas? Anyway, would be interesting to learn more about both pvc and kydex. Re: I "need" a huge Bowie-style knife in high quality steel

Just realized that the timber rattler outlaw has a 11 3/8" blade and that it is also available in a damascus version. Not sure what type of steel it really is, I asked the seller and he just replied "high and low carbon steel, don't know the grades" so I have no clue. But I think I'll just order a s...

Re: I "need" a huge Bowie-style knife in high quality steel

I"m pretty excited about the RTAK II. I plan to acquire one when funds allow. The Moonshiner is not a perfect knife for my purposes (and I want a Kydex or PVC sheath) and I think the RTAK II will fit it while being within budget. So consider this a vote for the RTAK II. I really like the RTAK too, ...

Thanks :) I have seen it before, it looks a bit strange so I don't like it much. But it looks practical though.
