Re: Portable Range?

Here's my advice- you should invite me over for a weekend shoot 'cause I have 3 pvc stands and 3 steel targets (2/3 silhouette, 8, 10" plate) in my 4runner ready to go, and I drive out to capitol forest area to train at least once a month. Will soon probably make a couple more pvc stands for target ...

Re: Themal sheild/tarp

As mentioned on Max's site, there was (couple months ago?) a video posted showing FLIR footage for proof of concept as viewed from a helicopter (I think the guy on the ground in the test footage is a friend of the blog who got his pilot buddy to help). Having seen that video, I know the thing works,...

Re: New Boots time - wide toes and a question?

I have had Danners, and while I love the construction, the fit was never right, but I didn't learn what was wrong until I started wearing Keens, currently the Siskyou (sp?) model.

Calculate your weight

Anyone expecting to travel on foot under harsh circumstance should learn from those who already do. How much gear is worth carrying? I'm in no way affiliated, but this seems a good place to start:

Re: Medical questions

I think the lay people here (myself included) may not have enough familiarity to know what questions to ask, but you've covered CABC, which leaves Diability and Environment/Exposure fair game. Would love to read more from your perspective

Re: Medical refresher training

OK folks, we have a finalized list for the aid kit. To some this will seem small and under equipped but you can always add to it later. This will be a starting point for training and we can add to it later. Any questions just drop me a line or reply to the post. Do not have a date attached to the t...

There were two of us there, myself and foul_ball (Good to meet you!). Funny thing was, someone actually beat us to it ... Imagine that? Someone actually thought to themselves - "Hey, I know there is a clean up on Sunday, but I've got plans - you know what, I'm going to go up there Saturday and do s...

Everything's a work in progress, my girlfriend and I ...
