Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

So excited Morgan is back.

The actor the plays him (also from Jericho) is one of my favorites.

He seems to have some sanity back.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Saw another post elsewhere that brought up the idea that sunflowers are zombie deterrents. Would be an interesting spin.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Oh, yeah, right. He doesn't have to be infected by zombie germs to turn. I thought he was because he was washing with the shower (which I thought was for fever relief). But really, all he has to do is get sick with something enough to die. Then when he dies, he turns. So it can be any illness, really.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Or maybe Walker germs infesting the soil (thus killing the pig) and their crops (thus infecting him so far...).

Re: Best things to stock up on for lighting?

Stock up on a TON of AA and AAA batteries and get your LED lamps and flashlights by the bunches.

Energizers and Duracells have a 10 year shelf life.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Knowing that the Governor is as messed up as he is now, Andrea is going to feel icky herself.

She'll have some loyalty to Daryl too.

She'll do something to fix it.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Yikes. I like the Michonne in the GN and in the show. I think she's great -- does a perfect job at playing the complicated stoic.

She's one of my favorites, probably next to Rick & Daryl.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

For some reason -- to me -- the recoil from the handguns looked really bad (in terms of being poorly faked / acted).

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

I still feel pretty good about my second floor theory... The stairwell of buildings is used as a load bearing structural member. i.e. any "strongish" building is going to have stairs that are nigh impossible to "take out". Point taken. I'm speaking of my own condo, I guess. I'm on the second floor....

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

I still feel pretty good about my second floor theory. There would be other options available if some piling occurred. Oil to make traction slippery, careful burning to reduce things to ash... But , that's not really my biggest common sense issue with the characters in The Walking Dead. What's the p...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

One thing that always gets me about surviving the walkers is this: Months of food, water, medicine, etc., move up to the second floor of a strong-ish building, knock out the stairs that allow entrance to where you are (you can use a ladder down a window to get out). And you're good for as long as yo...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

In terms of Lori... [Spoilers] I kind of don't figure she'll be shot up like in the graphic novel. There's the same prison / governor / Lori / pregnancy plot overlap, but I don't see her and the baby getting shot in that same mess. Most deaths do not occur as they did in the comic -- do any? It's al...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

In Talking Dead, they said that the Governor (in the show) is charismatic but evil and twisted. So he's got to do some nasty things for TV.... SPOILERS I forgot to mention earlier: Does he chop off Rick's arm in the show?? Or is that plot item covered by Merle already. They won't have two one-armed ...
