Re: Covid-19 Leads to Surge of Guns & Ammo Sales

https://www.statesman.com/news/20200321/police-man-with-kitchen-knife-robs-woman-at-round-rock-h-e-b Also I went to the local Cop Shop yesterday, and they were steadily running out of inventory. Every other gun store in town is out of the usual pistols (excluding the $1500 and up) and getting reall...

TFB - GLOCK: Something Big Is Coming – December 10th 2019 We are days away from the Something Big Is Coming GLOCK live event on December 10th, 2019 and speculation is running wild. Appalachian Mountain Club-esque image teasers bring to mind exploration, trailblazing and adventure. Personally, I’ve ...

That's definitely interesting, I wonder how well it does in low light?

I need to make a decision, Glock 17/19 Gen 5 or Sig p320/M17, I'd love to see what everyone else thinks.

March 21 I'll be a sonuvabitch, I called it. We were hit with a nuclear strike on the 17th but from what I can tell it was a high altitude burst. I have no idea where it came from but it happened while Jack and I had gone down to Ogden to have a little look and see if anyone knew anything. While we ...

March 14 Transcribed from handwritten account I've arrived at the RV near the Causey Reservoir, in a clearing just off Skull Crack Canyon Rd. I've been here long enough to set up a decent range card and my rifle is ready to go. I'm currently armed with a Larue PredatOBR 18” with a SilencerCo Omega30...

March 12 Got woken up by Tanks about an hour after sunrise today, it seems that a couple of cable news stations have gone off the air due to rioting and power outages (probably doesn't help that none of the employees are getting paid either) CNN HQ in Atlanta is down, but everything running out of N...

March 10 0015hrs Sweet Terra Firma, we have cheated death again! Thank God for these pilots, otherwise I can't even imagine trying to make it nearly 2000 miles with construction and potential ambushes, I haven't really heard anything on the news for about a week, seems things got really bad and ther...

March 9 Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ on a cracker, it's getting bad out there, I've gotten everyone rounded up and we are now on the bird and about to cross the Big Muddy, and all of us are still either shocked at people's behavior or are still amped up from the run from Rucker to Blackwell Field, tha...

Now more story..... March 4 Rough shift today, I was first on scene for an 11yo girl that hung herself in her closet sometime last night. First call of the day, and that was the beginning of the downward spiral for the day. I'm more than a little pissed at the CID guy that was sent out, he didn't c...

In my head our protagonist's grandfather is always making damn sure his grandson (only one) can always make it home in a pinch and he's definitely got the money to do it ,I keep thinking it's something like 100 Billion just in investments and bank accounts, doesn't include the gold and silver kept o...

Feb 27 Rough night for me last night, bad memories came back from when I was cave crawling in Afghan, didn't get much sleep but I've worked on less sleep before. A question

I've had a story stuck in my head for awhile and I've gotten to the point where I have to write it down. It's in a kind of journal format, but it's a bit of a slow burn with the idea being what if the main character had the funds for every preppers dream BOL/BOV and so on, yet no matter what Murphy'...

Re: Pressure canning question

No, they really haven't been done in a way that is guaranteed safe. When pressure canning never put the water level over the top of the vessel you are trying to seal, as it tends to mess up the seal in my experience. Best bet is to pop the lids off those jars and try again with less water in the pre...

Re: SAS sniper takes out ISIS sniper 1.5 miles away

While the trigger puller in the article is no doubt skilled enough to make the shot, I have some misgivings about the technical data given. 3 second flight time could be possible but it also does not say what round was used. I'm pretty sure the SAS guys use 408 Cheytac, but it could also be 375 chey...
