Re: 2-4 inches in 30 minutes

OP: Thanks for the reminder that flash floods can happen anywhere at any time. Denmark learned that the hard way. We're normally a country where the worst weather we experience is a Hurricane or blizzard every 2 or 3 years. last week we experienced this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tINAEETaZnE in...

Re: would you rather be solo or in a group if the shtf?

I believe in the old saying: Two is one, one is none. That's why I prefer to be in a larger group, that way you can have 1-2 on guard at all times, and still have the ability to move during daytlight, as you don't have teammembers half-dead from sleepdeprivation (I've personally gone 72 hours withou...

Re: As terrible as it is..

I personally would keep him around. Not for the "He's slower, so he'd distract them", but because he's family. It may help that I have a military education where the first and last thing you learn is "No one gets left behind". Because of this, if nessessary, work out so you can help/carry him if nes...

Re: What would you do - Extra terrestrials?

Easy Question, seeing as I'm infantry..

But, when the general force I'm deployed with is destroyed, I'd lead the remaining forces into cover, and start some guerilla warfare, striking at their weak spots (if we can find them).

Or I'd die.. one or the other..

Nickname: don't really care. Equipment: Worn down jeans over army boots, my Blackhawk! plate carrier and a leather jacket, 2 x Desert Eagle .50 (despite the fact that I'd moste likely break both arms firing them) in shoulder holsters and a H&K G36C, just in case. :P Vehicle: I'd go old school and ru...

Re: Norway or scandinavia

Have anyone here considered what kind of disasters we should expect (apart from the obvious Zombie Outbreak)? I'm thinking the following: - Hurricanes (we've got some pretty nasty ones in Denmark each fall/winter) - Blizzards (again I've only got data from denmark, but the last two years we've had b...

Re: Norway or scandinavia

Hi Guys, would you like a Dane to complete the Scandinavian collection? A few things about me: I'm 23 years old, currently a Squad leader (Corporal) in the Danish "Hjemmeværnet" (Motorized infantry, the guys that practise with the Swedish and Norwegian Defence forces) with 4 years of service in both...

Hi from Denmark

Hi guys,
I've been keeping an eye on you for a while, but finally decided to join up properly.
so far I've begun work on my B.O.B, and I've got a B.O.P somewhat ready. Still need a lot of details, and that's why I'm here.
