The collapsible stock is needed, so your wife or kid can use the rifle properly, so you can adjust for thick clothing, armor, pack harness, etc. I think he needs a 10.5" barreled AR15 in 223, with Ciener .22lr conversion unit and suppressor. What say you? http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af242/b...

Well,.. when you ain't got it its about the $$. Personally while expensive glass is fun, I don't think its a must. I like Burris' AR332. Its around $200 with the fat reticle on Amazon. I think its made in the Philippines. I shot through 2 and the glass is nice. As good as any of their mid budget sco...

Re: Press therapy - reloading room *chat*

Just putting this out there... a good electronic auto charge/scale will make your reloading more enjoyable and easier for less money than a good progressive press. Just sayin'. Metering powder is a bitch. Metering extruded powder is a bigger bitch. The 'lectro charge/scale is sooooo choice. Charge i...

Looking at getting a 6.5 Grendel AR upper for hunting - hit me with some recommended manufacturers for accuracy please? :D I still like BHW product. Polygonal rifling. Gets 50+ Fps over button/standard rifled barrel. 50+ FPS means a lot to intermediate carts like the Grendel. I'd suggest barrel len...

Re: AR15 for Hunting: Different Calibers

Its really too bad the 30RAR didn't take off. I liked that one. If I was going wildcat, I'd do something like a 6mm or 25 cal on a 223, 6.8 or 6.5 case.

Jeeper, JC, Bubbie,... Shoot me a PM before you spend a ton on a new 6.5G. I have a 16" Black Hole Weaponry build that just never gets used. Its a damn shame too,.. cuz it's a good shooter. I can get you going on a complete upper for an extremely reasonable price. I'm 25 cal nutz right now and I wan...

T..... can this be the one caliber/ rifle combo that can do everything I need? With light solids and light loads for small game. Heavier SP loads for medium game/ defense. All the way out to 800+ yards... I don't know about the practicality of running 6.5G out to 800 yards from a 12.5" barrel, but ...

What's the reputation of Henry rifles? I've always wanted a lever action and their .22lr carbine looks reasonable. Henry makes good stuff. I didn't read everything,.. but I get the idea here. I hate those choices. I like the J Frame the best. I'd like an LCR even better (trigger, price, weight). I wouldn't even concern myself with 357 mag. OR, like i think I saw mentioned, I'd go with a better semi. There a lot of good dependable compa...

Re: What higher end RDS is on your "goto" rifle?

I have several FastFires. I have one on a 44 mag revolver. Doesn't lose zero. I had a Burris speed dot. They're tough enough. I have a Sig Romeo 5. Its a AP T2 ripoff. Auto off and auto on. It would have to fail horribly for me to pay more. I would love something with a Triangle, though. A RMR r or ...
