At the 2:00 mark dude is shooting a Stainless ball.... I don't understand what your getting at. Whatever.

However,.. my bad for getting off topic. I won't chime in on this again. The internet is mo' better than real life.

Re: Lever Action vs. Revolving Carbine

A head shot at 20 yards is a head shot at 20 yards. Even a body shot just pokes a hole through a squirrel. You fellas are over thinking it. You lose a half a spoonful of meat.

Re: Lever Action vs. Revolving Carbine

Well,.. I got my mom and dad a Rossi Judge Carbine for a garden gun. While its a fun little gun,.. and actually pretty accurate, I don't think it'd replace a decent lever gun. The lever has more on tap and tends to accommodate more powerful cartridges whether is pistol carts or rifle carts. That sai...

Dont fall into deep water. You'll never surface.
I gotcha on that. It didn't take me long to make an expensive list. I might just get a few things per month.
I'm working through enough money pits right now. I really don't need another.

Re: Ultimate ZS Battle/Scout Belt Thread

I always thought the larger belts are meant to run with a small pack unattached. I've seen setups on the webz with small chest rig, small pack and a wider "war belt" kind of thing. I like that idea. But, I think you could get a belt setup to meet whatever you need it. Keeping things separate, I was ...

Yea. Me, too. I'm getting an extra belt from a friend and it reminded me of this thread. I wanted to do a scoutish/hunting belt thing. Maybe ditch the backpack for deer season. This is good inspiration.

My Winchester 1200 pump, My AR, and a 99-07 Chevy 4WD. Not exciting stuff, but stuff I can find parts for and know how to fix. I'm also pretty familiar with Chrysler Minivans! So I'm pretty much a Southern Single Soccer Mom's dream date. But,.. I'd be willing to trade the the Winnie 1200 for a 870 o...

I really want a classic looking revolver... I would love a 1917 in .45 But I really like the lines of the GP100 match Champion with 1/2 lug barrel https://news.guns.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/RugerGp100Match01.jpg I've been eye-ballin' a blue GP myself. I like Burris glass. but that fat reticle kills me. It covers up everything. Reticles are very subjective. I like the new ballistic reticles better,.. but in that scope, if I had my way, it'd be just an etched triangle or dot.

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

Well,.. I'm doing another wild cat. rifle Its basically an improved-improved 30-30. Should move 150s at 2700+ from a 21" barrel (contender) and 2500-2600 fps form a 16.5 inch barrel (marlin lever) and 2300-2400 fps from a contender pistol. 125-135s are much much faster. Yea,.. I could shoot the 308 ...

Re: Jack of all trades lever gun.

I didn't get to this post in time to be of any real help, but i like the 30-30 a lot. I've shot and loaded a lot of 30-30 I have the 16 inch youth gun. A single shot. I've had Contender barrels. A 16" - 20" lever rifle is a SOLID 200 yard gun. 250 if you're a shooter. If I could only have 1 lever gu...

Heirloom piece? or practical piece?

Maybe instead of a Future Classic go for a Classic Classic - Da Hi Powa!

or a Glock.

On the AR47,.. I did have one. It was PSA product and it was an accurate gun. But,.. I just couldn't love it. It was me, not the gun.

I think if I found the right deal on an Aresnal, I'd likely buy it.

Re: I got the hots for an AK.

Meh,.. Now I don't even want one. This is a lot to know and i really don't want to get into a $700 AK. Hate to hear that the PSA product is crappy. Those guys have always treated me well. I'll just stick with the AR platform. I know it and I'm already deep into it. I was getting dazzled by the thoug...

Re: I got the hots for an AK.

I was guessing mid price meant around $600. I don't know. I really dig the arsenal gun. I might try for a used arsenal. I might get lazy and go for the PSA product,.. 'cuz its near by and they always have something around $500. I don't know that the AK is a gun that I'll use frequently. I'd like to ...

What's the good mid priced stuff. I don't have Arsenal level cashflow atm.
PSA is local and I do like their other product but I don't see a lot of reviews on their new AKs.
Thinking I can get out of an AR and into and AK..

I was an art director for 10 years and yes its sad how many, "my kid designed our corp logo 20 years ago when she was 3", logos I ran across. So it didn't cost 'em anything up front. They cheaped out. This is why I quit design work. That and folks that let you make some really nice work then have t...

The collapsible stock is needed, so your wife or kid can use the rifle properly, so you can adjust for thick clothing, armor, pack harness, etc. I think he needs a 10.5" barreled AR15 in 223, with Ciener .22lr conversion unit and suppressor. What say you? http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af242/b...

Well,.. when you ain't got it its about the $$. Personally while expensive glass is fun, I don't think its a must. I like Burris' AR332. Its around $200 with the fat reticle on Amazon. I think its made in the Philippines. I shot through 2 and the glass is nice. As good as any of their mid budget sco...
