What flashlight for my Elzetta Shotgun Flashlight Mount?

So I'm looking to add a Elzetta Tactical Shotgun Flashlight Mount to my Remington 870 with extended magazine tube. I'm wondering what flashlight to use. My first thought was a regular Maglite AA LED flashlight. The Elzetta web site says I can mount any flashlight from 0.7 to 1.1 inches, 18 to 27mm. ...

Thank you.

It's for sport so I went with a 12 gauge to throw up a big cloud of pellets. If it was a "game getter" then I've have gone 20 gauge so as not to ruin the flesh.

if it were for home defense then I'd have gone with a 18" barrel.

Side Saddle on a HD 590/870 - But I'm a lefty :O

I've been thinking of getting a nice home defense shotgun, either an 870 or a 590. And I was thinking of adding a side saddle to it. But I was wondering - I'm a lefty. When the side saddle is loaded with rounds, will the shells block access to the trigger guard for my trigger hand? I've been looking...

My father-in-law bought one. It's currently the only 1911 he owns. Came with two barrels, .22 TCM and 9mm. He loves the .22 TCM. I love the Commander-size, double-stack 9mm 1911.

I will be getting a little extra cash soon, so I'm going to treat myself to a Beretta a300. Now, my wife has always wanted a pump shotgun to keep next...

Talk me out of it

I'm trying to find a decent reason to NOT buy a 12 gauge Remington 870 Express Synthetic Tactical from Bud's Gun Shop for $348. This gun would live it's life next to my bad in the place currently occupied by my 1911 pistol and function as my primary home defense weapon, with occasional trips to a 3-...

Re: The Suburban Shotgun: Is it really needed?

I am of the opinion that every adult needs to own five firearms: A handgun that he carries at all times A .22 for small game A long barrel shotgun for fowl A rifle for medium-size game A self defense carbine The thing, though, is single shotgun can fulfill all of the last three slots. Buy yourself a...

But why would you own a poorly/cheaply made firearm in the first place? If your EDC CCW is a Hi Point, or after what we've seen about them a Taurus Millennium, then IMO you deserve what you get.

Re: Handgun Condition while concealed

why wouldn't you carry a round in the chamber and be ready to fire? With some older semi-autos, and even some older-still revolvers, the firing pin rested on the primer of the round in the chamber. There was a hazard that if the weapon was dropped inertia would cause the firing pin to set off the p...

All preference depending on the person and equipment. Personally, if I carry, I keep my chamber empty with no safety. Most people disagree with me. But last I checked, I don't judge the kind of toilet paper that takes care of their ass so they shouldn't worry about what protects mine. My father-in-...

Since we're busting up on The Walking Dead, first five minutes of Season 1, Episode 1 - The cops are at a baracade, and Rick tells the new guy that his gun, CLEARLY a Glock 17, won't be of much use with the safety on. The rookie nods and then mimes flicking off the external safety of a handgun that ...

Re: When TV shows and movies get it wrong

Not TV, but I had an author I used to follow, Laurel Hammilton. The main character in the series was Annita Hill, basically a PI, and made a big point about how she was just a little slip of a girl, and couldn't arm wrestle the bad guys, so she had to be constantly on her guard and be ready to shoot...
