Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

After relocating their shop, Armalite is starting to sell things again. I have had the same gas tube in my AR-10 since 2003. It may fail someday when parts aren't so available. I got two. Next will be a bolt carrier assembly.

Re: Where can I get a graticle installed in FUJI binoculars?

Great question. Personally I would be reluctant to let a third party open mine up to add a reticle.

Why do so few binocular companies have a mildot range finding system? A small one in the corner would not be intrusive.

New podcast: It Could Happen Here I haven't listened to it yet, but it's along the lines of this thread. Bound to be political. (insert boilerplate here) :clownshoes: This podcast is quite good. My wife and daughters listened to the first episode with me last night. No great prepping advice but an ...

Re: Massive picture post: whole lotta forged blades

Dabster - I'm not sure if the Green Beret is planning on carrying it on deployment, but I get the impression he is. He ordered it up when he was on deployment, but had me ship it to his US address when I was finished because he was only about a month out from being back home. He was quite happy wit...

MOE K2+ grip. It is just like my current grip put the angle is reduced. It took five minutes to swap (Interestingly the screw switched from an allen to a flat). I played with it quite a bit and can say that it is a bit more comfortable than the standard. Sunday we'll see how she shoots! This thing ...

O tanto with a 13 1/2" blade and wakizashi with a 15 3/4" blade. The waki was a commission from a Green Beret. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7807/32372963197_acf289ccde_z.jpg knife06 by James Helm , on Flickr Mr. Crow, I love your posts and work a lot. The study on collapse they thought you should not read – yet

Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet. The link below has profoundly switched my wife from someone who scoffs at prepping to someone who wants to do some fairly serious prepping. Can professionals in sustainability management, policy and research – myself included - continue to work with the ass...

In case you're not sick of input, I thought I would throw my two cents in... After a bad experience with several Gen 2 Glocks, I was a devoted HK guy for about twenty years. That is, I was a .45 HK guy. When ammo started getting scarce and expensive, I decided to diversify to 9mm. Looking into optio...

Re: Going to Disney, what do I take?

We went last year. Loved the Animal Kingdom most. Some things that popped into my head: 1. Pack food in. There are no rules against this, the food there is not that impressive and you'll save a lot of money. 2. Pain killers for headaches and sore feet. 3. A light jacket or sweatshirt. It gets chilly...

I thought this was a funny update... https://qz.com/1113692/cuba-sonic-attacks-havana-blames-crickets-and-cicadas-for-injuries-to-us-diplomats/ The US pulled the bulk of its diplomats from Cuba in September, blaming attacks on its staff that caused hearing loss and concussions. Cuba has denied any i...

I have a Vortex Viper 6-24x50. I've had it for about three years. It replaced a ~15 year old Springfield Armory scope. Nothing has broken. I have heard mixed things about Vortex scopes but I love mine. The glass is a lot more clear and bright. the reticle is great. The controls are easy to see and u...
