Re: Using candles

I have candles and flashlights. I read on some hurricane preparedness sites that candles are a no go due to them being a fire hazard and to only use flashlights. There is an antique store near where I live and I was going to buy some old timey candle holders. The ones with the drip pan attached and...

Re: Is prepping spreading in your area?

Had a discussion just the other day with a man in the meat section of the grocery store, about skinning chickens instead of plucking them. Sent him in search of the WhizBang chicken plucker...

Re: Need a lock that will keep my door from getting kicked i

Very simple solution. The plate that is in the frame that the bolt goes into needs to be replaced. If you can't find an over sized one at a hardware store you can have a metal fabricator make you one for cheep. Chisel out the size of the new plate in the frame and use 4 inch steal screws to attach ...

Re: Nice Zombie-knife

Windlass D-Guard Bowie I went searching for an anti-zombie weapon. It looks like a pretty nice combination of a fighting knife and a naval cutlass. Here's a video I found of it in use on YouTube. It looks like it handles pretty well. It weighs 1 pound and 5 ounces and has a 17-3/4" blade. Windlass ...

Two thoughts and I am out of here. First you could coat the container with rubber roofing....Next I have not seen anyone post that you can also get these container that are refrigration units..That I would think might come in very handy, even if it was one of the smaller units..

Re: Canned Bacon at Home!!

My family canned sausage a lot and as I recall they didnt even pressure cook them.
