Re: How Effective is the Machete as a Weapon?

Regrettably there are many people in Rwanda who have some horror stories as to how effective a machete can be as a killing weapon. ^^THIS^^ It is a sad truth, but in today's world the machete has taken too many lives to claim it as ineffective. No, it will not be good for a duel or a medieval battl...

Around here they will ask you a lot of "what would you do if" questions. They don't care about your answer, but will ask why and that's what they care about; the reasoning behind the answer.

1) Your Weapon of choice and why? AR-15, have it already, several in family, lotsa ammo, accuracy 2) Do you see yourself as a leader? The person to unit people and groups. my family considers me a leader and all have said if something goes south they are going to rely on me for leadership 3) If you ...

Re: Went to a HORRIBLE Gun Show this weekend in OKC.

The last few gun shows I have been to were like China-marts; cheap Chinese made crap. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good Chinese products, but the stuff at the shows have been cheap quality. Roughly half the tables have been junk not even related to guns or prepping. There have been a lot o...

Re: Considering a Condor 3 day Assault Pack for BOB

Seems to have pretty good reviews and looks nice.
I would say pretty good for BOB on a budget.
The main consideration is going to be it's use.
I would go with something more heavy duty if you are into camping and hiking a lot, but to have as a BOB would probably be fine.

Re: The Effects of a Terrorist Nuclear Bomb on a City

How the hell can sissy alpha radiation hurt me if it's just on my skin? If alpha was that dangerous I'd be dead, like three times over already. And I haven't even got the good stuff yet. I mean you could hit me with 500 rads an hour of alpha and I'd be fine, so long as you didn't put it in my throa...

Re: The Mosin Nagant- The LAST Great Deal In SHTF Firearms

Yeah, but having no complaints because it's cheap isn't the same as having it at the top of the list for preppers. Oh yeah, completely agree. I just collect old military rifles. I would use an AR for SHTF, mainly because everyone in my family has them and allows us to use mags and such between us i...

I have no complaints with my Mosin's.
I got them for $65 a pop. Matching bolts and recievers and they had already been cleaned and inspected by the company where I purchased them.

It worked incredibly well and did not use any power source. It was an always on technology and worked both...

So here is a big issue, how do you or I know if thuggy is a felon or not if we want to sell to him privately. Not sure if it is a state or county thing, but here we can call the sheriff's department and say I am selling a firearm and want to verify such and such is not a felon or wanted. They will ...

Mrs. Blacksmith demanded a movie date for this one as soon as she the trailer a couple of months ago. Question? How does the big guy shave? Are not his whiskers super duper too? Kryptonite razor? One of the old superman comics i had showed him using his heatray vision and a mirror to burn them off....
