Re: Unknown Disease

Digging in, and cross referencing, some interesting finds: (My emphasis) http://www.xinhuanet.com/english/2019-04/29/c_138021982.htm Chief District Officer of Humlam Dholakhraj Dhakal told Xinhua via phone that the death toll climbed to 10 while over 200 people fell ill due to the unidentified disea...

Kinda scary looking until you read the description: ... Though the doctors, on the basis of the symptoms, suspect the outbreak to be seasonal common cold and cough, they said they couldn't say anything for sure until the test report. "We can say for sure what the cause of deaths is only after we ret...

Re: What's your favorite non-prep prep item?

At $20 for 100 sticks on Amazon , and one stick for every 3 ounces of water, for a normal sized mug you're looking at 60 cents per. Not a horrific price but not very cheap either. Might be better to make your own using a roll of heat seal bags and a bag sealer. Could be worse, some really mean pers...

At first, it seems hard to believe, but then, people...what can you say... Nah, it's a call center. Re: Sick in a Bug Out. What do you do?

Let me, by all means necro this thread. I have been going on about 5 weeks now with a cold. Just your average run-of-the-mill cold. It started in the sinuses, I took some decongestants, and it dropped to my lungs. Sounds like the same stuff that worked it's way through my AO. Light cold that moves ...

There was one greeter I read about recently who was told he has 30 days left to comply with the new job requirement that he be able to lift 50lbs and reach objects on the top shelves in the store. The man is in a wheelchair. How's he supposed to reach that shelf? Skirts ADA rules? " When the autono...

Re: Building a basic hand-tool kit!

Depending on the type of work you are planning, you can probably omit 1/2" ratchets & sockets. Ive rebuilt engines, axles and rearends on 3/8. Is 1/2" easier? Sure, leverage, torque etc, but if you are going budget - a good 1/4 & 3/8s is fine. Buy a brand that stands behind their tools, and has a re...

Re: Lifelite Pepper Ball Launcher

It's a matter of machining. It's expensive to build new dies for paintballs , Standard calibers are ~.68, followed by .50 and then .40 (blow gun). more cost effective to use the standard machines and just use a new fill agent. Then you cost is just materials and time on the machine. A lot of paintba...

Not to mention that the new paintball joke will be to sub in some pepperballs. Pepperballs have been available for some years now. Mostly to LEO's for riot/crowd control. Other rounds include dye both visible and UV, solid rounds, and others. Cost keeps them out of most peoples hands, since they ar...
