Re: 48 Million without power

Is this any surprise for anyone? The two countries have been having problems for a very long time, so with no spares and no qualified tech personnel it was just a matter of time. I wonder if Cuba will send any of their 'experts' to help out? Oh - and the dictator will no doubt claim it is a CIA plot...

Re: Unrest in Memphis

The go fund me page makes the guy out to be a regular college student that was guned down. Are there two B Webbers? One a violent gang-banger and the other a regular Joe? In these stories, I always ask - who will profit from the chaos? Who will gain politically? Robert Hienlien wasn't a scifi writer...

Re: Chinese Gearing Up Anti-US Propaganda Campaign

With a national economy about as stable as a house of cards, massive losses in their ag section (pork fever) and their supply of oil in jeopardy - about all the Chinese can do right now is bluster. Since the US is the CHICOM's largest trading market - the bluster may not last all that long either. O...

Re: On you at all times BOB? What do you keep on you?

I live in a city where cars get broken into all the time, so I can't keep a bag in my car. I have to rely on what I carry on me anytime I leave the house. I have a ThinkGeek Bag of Holding I take everywhere, and I always carry with me my multitool, lighter, flashlight, and one of those metal cards ...

Re: Projection of extended blackouts for CA this summer

Well, how neat. Just another reason to move to the Golden State.

Given how much power comes into CA from out of State (so they can pollute someone else's backyard) mean long, high power lines running across vast areas of dry bush....

This summer will be interesting for SoCal. Good luck to them

Since the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is a component of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - i would think she would have armed security. What is possible is also dependent on location - the Tucson sector, for example, is entirely different than SoCal. In A...
