Leupold MK AR or Burris MTAC. 1x4 power will do about anything on an AR pretty well.

Both are really good value for the money.

Re: Finnally A V8 Small Block American Diesel

Bought the wife a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.0L ecoDiesel. It's an impressive engine in the GC. Power is great. Drive ability is great. Mileage is phenomenal.... especially compared to the 2009 GC with the 5.7L Hemi she had before... glad to trade that gas guzzling 11mpg SOB in... The 3.0L ...

Re: USMC Polartec 300 GEN II Fleece Jacket/Liner Review. UPD

As said that black fleece is probably the single best piece of clothing I was ever issued Iin the Corps. The fleeces that followed were in no way as good. I kept mine and still enjoy rocking it today. Found another one at a surplus place selling at a gunshow for the wife so we can have matching gear...

Re: Yet another Cherokee question

I have owned a few XJs. 89, 95, 97. Did the Explorer 8.8 rear end swap under all them. Best thing you can do IMO. All of mine were over 250K miles and still running strong when I sold them. Only the 89 had a lift. 2" and trimmed fenders to fit 34 X 9.50 TSL Swampers. Only bad thing about the 89 was ...

I carry a DS almost everyday.... for the last 10yrs. Before that a Cobra, that is now my dads every day carry. Great revolver. I own a few Colt D frames and have been shooting them without worry....bunch of overblown nonsense in my experience. If you take care of it you won't have to worry about the...

Re: A-frame wire sling attachment

My ultralight KISS AR should be done this week....pretty much. Need a sling still. I want to mount it on the a-frame just so I don't have to drill into the carbon fiber free float tube. Well I remember seeing, back in 2003ish M16 A2's in the armory with 203's attached. These ones had like a wire sl...

Gun control proponets ALWAYS come out with some BS story about how they "were" gun owners/enthusist until.... Most likely this story is just a story made up by a typical progressive writer to make his totally left wing audiance think their ideals are right on target..... IF this story is real the wr...

In the pic those ebay mags have Devel followers, wad cutter style feed lips and removable base pads... I pretty sure those 8rnd mags shown are made by Check Mate.... Check Mate is a good company for M1A'/M14's, but they are NOT known to be top quality mags for 1911's.... As others have said, Wilson ...

Re: My first 1911

Lets see a pic of that COLT mag.

I'd need to see top down of the feed lips and the base markings....

There are a ton of FAKE POS "COLT" marked mags coming from overseas.... Real COLT factory mags are made by Metal Form (7rnd) or Check Mate (8rnd).... real ones are pretty easily identifiable.

I have the G19 mag version. I've had mine for a few years and have about 1500 rnds thru it. As far as shooting it. Mine is plenty reliable with good ammo. I've used factory G19 mags, factory G18 mags and KCI G18 mags all with no problems. My 125gr LRN reloads (Missouri Bullet 125gr small ball over 3...

Re: Glock 19 or 23

My experience with the 19 and 23 is pretty much the same as TDW586. I love the G19 and thought the 23 would be just the thing... recoil on the G23 seemed a lot snappier to me. So I sold the G23 and went back to the G19. People will always debate the caliber war. I guess they just like to do it. Fact...

Really you have a lot of options. I also don't think you need to be in the hurry your in (New Glocks have been $500-$550 for many years) but I could be wrong. Personally I think .45ACP, 9X19, .38spl and .22LR are good bets. All 4 are very common in the USA and are gonna be for however long we can co...

New Spyderco Mule 12 Cru-Wear

I managed to snag one of the Spyderco Mule Team 12 re-release's in Cru-Wear. I had ordered one of the orginals but they stopped my order when they recalled them for heat treat problems. Really glad they were able to get that sorted out and release these. Here she is out of the box. http://i50.photob...

It is my understanding that RIA's are a Colt clone made on Colt machines and that the parts interchange. Not hardly. I don't know who told you that but your understanding is incorrect. COLT uses a forged frame and RIA has a cast frame. It's totally differenet process' that use totally different mac...

The DS was not introdced until 1927.... That First Generation DS was unchanged until 1947.... They were basically a 2" Police Positive, with different roll marks on the barrel. Your SN does place the frame mfgr at 1910, which would make it a Police Positive that someone screwed a DS barrel on to. At...

CONGRATS!! Lots of potential there. The Detective Special is a FIRST GENERATION from the 1940's. The square but and half moon front sight are dead give aways. The COBRA is a SECOND GENERATION - probally from the 1950's-1960's. Looks like someone who doesn't have the right kind of screwdriver has had...

Awesome! Thanks a lot! Did a single can of that get you pretty far? I have 25 mags..I would think a can or 2 should be okay? I did few projects with that can and still had about 1/4 can left over. It really depends on how many coats you spray. I think I used 2-3 coats (spray & let dry = 1 coat) on ...

Back in 1997 I bought a well used Beretta 92FS police trade in. The pistol and 2 mags were pretty beat up and worn looking on the outside..... I detail stripped the slide, stripped the mags to the tubes, then sand blasted everything and coated everything with Brownells Tefelon Moly. I did bake them ...
