Re: Skinning and eating rabbits?

It's pretty easy if you do it right, but can be a mess if you let it. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=9&cad=rja&ved=0CFYQFjAI&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wikihow.com%2FSkin-a-Rabbit&ei=No_sUZeiD9OVqwHC0YG4Cw&usg=AFQjCNGxrk4q2S5W1uIpDC4sxcLckLhLJg&sig2=nZzdhZ_HWl4hZ9EsdNNxfQ&bv...

Re: What does the Collective Say on the Kel-tec p-32?

Love mine, with the expanded sights and a wallet style holster. I run FMJ through it, with no feed problems. If you're going to carry a mouse gun, don't bother with the extended mag. Just use the 7 round, and slide it in your pocket. It's great as a light clothing concealed pistol, or as a backup cc...

Re: Bug-Out Canoes?

+1 on the kayak! Less space for gear, but very maneuverable and stable once you have your "sea legs". They can take you to places no other boat can, and more quickly than many canoes. Walmart has been selling a cheap plastic Kayak set for under $200 the last few years. It's fairly flat bottomed, so ...

We woke up, had some coffee and hot oatmeal for breakfast, and then broke camp. We took a few more photos of the shelter before heading out to return to civilization. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b614/swordofthebreeze/2013-01-07104032_zps629f6ceb.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b614/s...

I tend to use superglue or liquid bandage more than anything for small to medium cuts. I prefer the brush-on kind.

my feet stayed warmer when they were bare and B) my socks were plenty warm when I put them inside of my shirt while sleeping Uncreate Dito to all of this, but I noticed the sock thing as well. It's interesting that wool keeps the heat of the fire out. Common sense would dictate that your feet would...

Re: Winter Mock Bug-out Entry - Swordofthebreeze and Uncreat

Nice! I love them rootball/fallen trees. In a 6th grade PE "survival course" (yes, we had week long outdoor survival training course in PE) one of my classmates found one like that and that is where he set up his shelter. I remember him getting a good score on that. That stuck with me ever since. I...
