Re: Firearms Chat Part 2: Bullpups cause all the rage!

I don't really see the point of a CZ Evo or whatever other PDW-ish guns (Bren whatever????) that are coming out in 2015. Yeah, IMO, the 9mm guns are dead. 5.56, 7.62x39, 6.8 and 300 BlkOut have the same small package, better terminal and external ballistics as well as 2 of the rds run subsonic. I m...

Shooting. I drop prone, roll around, act goofy, knock into walls. I don't really know, I thought the battery died but I swapped it out a few times but no joy.

New item added to the list of things I've broken that aren't supposed to break: Aimpoint PRO.

Aimpoint is taking it back for free repairs.

Re: SRD; defend this. please.

Now that, I'd believe. The cop showing up with a shotgun being the fight stopping element over the sound of the shotgun racking. That's probably where the whole thing started too. Someone asked a cop in a gun store what to get to which they replied "Get a shotgun, you rack it and the bad guy will st...

Call EOTech and see if they can change the emitter out for a regular one. They repaired mine for $75 after it pooped.

Re: Worst places to be when TSHTF

If staying domestic I am going to have to go with East St. Louis. In the last hundred years or so the same number of cops have been shot to death in ESLO as in Newark. By comparison the population of Newark is twelve times that of ESLO. It has the highest crime rate of any city in the US. You might...

Re: SRD; defend this. please.

Yeah, it actually has been tested, sort of, by the FBI and DOJ. They interviewed violent felons who'd been shot, scared off by guns and shot at. It's on the net, you can google both studies. 1. They said if they thought someone had a gun they avoided them. Because getting shot sucks. This was about ...

Re: SRD; defend this. please.

Just me thinking out loud here's the way it would sound to me: Holy shit, this guys got a damn shotgun (or the sound of any other gun having it's action cycled). I'm not saying sounds should be employed or they should be relied on however verbal deterrence can work and if I racked a shotgun then the...

Re: Are there any sources for AOW double barreled shotguns?

Can you form 1 an AoW? Then you just buy a virgin receiver and register is right away as a AoW. That's how I did my SBRs, never built them as anything except an SBR. I'm not sure if you can 4473 as a receiver at point of purchase, ask you FFL.

Re: Firearms Chat Part 2: Bullpups cause all the rage!

If I understand it correctly, you can't put that on a shorter than 18" barreled shotgun because any shotgun with a shorter than 18" barrel is always an SBS or AoW. It has nothing to do with the stock/brace as much as it does with the barrel. Pistols do not have a minimum barrel length thus the addit...

Re: Free time and spare parts =???

I disagree with your statements but that's fine. First, the letters are legally binding until they change their minds, it's been out for a good bit so that's unlikely. Second, it doesn't only apply to AR15 type pistols, it cites them but continues by addressing firearms. So far, they've only said yo...

Are you a lawyer? Cause if you're not then no I do NOT think you know anything about the law. The ATF HAS arrested people for using the SB15 as a stock and since you don't have the $200 for the tax stamp I don't think you'd have the money to keep your ass out of jail if the ATF disagrees with you. ...

Re: Shotguns - The most overrated weapon for zombies

Since were talking fast zombies the best firearms defense would be to shoot them in the pelvic girdle which is a bigger target that moves less. With a shotgun anything below the waist would probably work or at least slow them down sufficently. Lather up the shotgun and give them another dose to the ...
