Re: Fallout 4......
I started playing on survival mode a couple of months ago. I'm only at Level 20, but man is it both frustrating and satisfying. On this playthorugh, I am being smarter about establishing sensible supply lines. Previously, my supply line map looked like a monkey drew a spiderweb. And instead of buil...

Anything small and valuable needs locked up when not in use. His electronics should be encrypted and secured. Have you written down the serial numbers and documented all his expensive possessions?
We plan based on risk, and the most likely "bad thing" to happen is his stuff gets stolen.

Ideally things wouldn't be disrupted enough I had to go anywhere. Otherwise I'd go home to the family farm in Appalachian Ohio.

Re: Railroad Spike knives as combat weapons?
I always figured a railroad spike would make a better spearhead than a knife if we're insisting on turning it into a weapon.

What doesn't feel right? Your xbox or ps3 are just very specialized personal computers. If you like using a game controller use a game controller. You like playing on your television, switch to it as your monitor when you game. The good thing about consoles is that everyone knows the hardware, and ...

Re: Best weapon for the zombie apocalypse?
How about some feed back for an obsidian mixed with metal(s), such as say carbon sword. I got weak arms and am taking this zombie threat seriously....So I need a sharp sword. Sharper than steel. Ideas? There are no magic metals that will allow you to properly use a bladed weapon without the strengt...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife
Slings, arrows, and traps would be my go-to for grid-down shit once bullets run out. I got pretty good with a wrist rocket back in the day, okay with a thong sling. I've been looking into crossbow designs, but really if you can find the materials and have even a small community black powder should ...

I might be misremembering, but this looks a lot more colorful. Red! I'm guessing that Bethesda noticed that one of the first things people do is mod the colors. Green tint sucks. It has a very Bioshock: Infinite color scheme to it. Also, I sorta feel as if this is close to that leaked script...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife
My reference to the M16 had to do with it being a full-size rifle, unlike the M4. I wasn't saying we all had to be marines, but that they had no problems handling a rifle that'd most likely be longer than one of ours in a confined space. If we're going to go on that home defense is different than ho...

My counter point to that is I can lower my rifle. Marines clear houses with M16's, don't they?

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife
Then in turned into me saying that I would do and use my AR for home defense. Then that whole discussion started with an AR being to big for CQB, over penetration etc etc. I dunno, a fully extended pistol is about as long as a shouldered rifle. Not sure what we mean by over penetration. Shot goes r...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife
Shotgun can have around eight rounds of getthefuckoutofmyhouse. My AR has thirty. It's lighter, and because of recoil and cost of ammunition it's easier to use and practice with. I'll take a hit with an AR over a miss with a shotgun. I grew up with shotguns, but moving, shooting, and racking the sli...

Re: Ask Yourself; Are You Prepared for a Mumbai Style Attack
A Mumbai style attack requires a lot of coordination, a lot of chatter, etc. In a country like ours it is quite possible we'd pick it up.
My preparation for such an attack? Be armed, aware of the exits, and ready to move. Nothing else for me to do.
