Re: My Hygiene Pouch

for the same size as a pouch of water, you could use a travel size package of wetwipes. it would be much more effective for cleaning your hands/tools.

I've had one of these for several months and love it. its small enough to disappear in your pocket(in a good way) but powerful enough for most situations.

Re: GHB with a major waterway crossing?

for crossing the river you could try a pack raft, which could be left in the trunk of your car with your ghb and take up little space. i think a back up cell phone would be better than a two way radio. this is because if one of you is in the downtown area or in the city the buildings will greatly re...

for a fixed blade you cant beat a mora for value.
for a folding knife i just ordered a sanrenmu 710 and a sanrenmu 763. theyre cheap chinese knives that cost about ten bucks each but from what i hear and from the one my friend has they're great knives for the price.

instead of trying to put a frame onto a random pack it might be easier to find an externl frame pack that you like and have a pannel opening sewn onto it. from what i can tell it would only require one continuous cut and then adding a zipper. you might need to reinforce the zipper but it seems a lot...
