Re: Miracle Plant

Thread Necro! My Moringa tree grew pods this year! Some of the pods have dried, and I picked about 200 seeds that I am going to try and grow out and give to the members of my garden club. I originally had this tree in a pot. It never got more than 5 feet tall, barely flowered and never once set pod...

Alternatively, if you can find some way to collect (and ideally, compress) the gas, then you've just found yourself a really cheap and common fuel source.

Re: Magnet Generator

You can use a moving magnetic field (usually caused by a moving magnet) to induce current within wires, this is the principle that allows those shake flashlights to work. However, it does require energy input. Consider a windmill or watermill, if you'd get tired of pedaling or cranking or rowing to ...

Re: Fallout 4......

Buddy that works in the industry is saying Bethesda doesn't have a keynote at E3. Not entirely sure what that means, but taking it as "there may not be shit coming out about it" I'm completely fine with devs taking their time on this one. I mean, if you've been playing since Fallout 1 and 2, you're...

i like the idea of playing as different races because it influences character interaction, i mean i suppose faction lines and karma do the same thing but i just have a hankering to rove about the wasteland as a supermutant smashing things with a hammer and using a mini nuke like a pistol. Yes, awes...

I can't wait. Of course, I hope it's more like 3 than NV, but I'll buy whatever they're selling. So am I the only fan that thought NV was way better than F3? The characters in NV had so much more depth and background, enough that I actually care about them. The only memorable characters in F3 where...

Re: Price of Ammo

This may be a somewhat pessimistic view, but I don't see this ammo price surge slowing down until at least next year. California's legislature has a host of various gun and ammo restrictions that are fairly likely to pass and be signed into law. The most relevant proposal to this thread is a 5-cent-...

Re: What would happen to the libraries in a PAW?

Having propane delivered isn't "off the grid" which is probably why everyone is so confused. Off the grid would mean you live without support from external infrastructure, which is why I for one was very confused that you could be off the grid but would need to burn books. . I'm not accustomed to t...

Re: strangest thing you have ever seen

While stationed overseas I had a girlfriend. My car was is disrepair and I wanted to go see her. Giggity. So, I grabbed my cannondale road bike, my head lamps and began riding. Got over and a few hours later it was time to go. I hop on my bike and about half way back I look up to my right and I see...

Re: How Are You Planning/Preparing For Retirement?

Putting something like 25% of my paycheck into 457 fund. Just got me first report on it, down -.66%. A bit demoralizing, but deducting it from my paycheck means it's not taxed as income, so I guess I'll take that consolation. I will probably drop that down to 10% or so when I have a mortgage to pay,...

There's a group buy another forums of mine is doing via Code Red. The price looks to be about what an AR lower should be, pre-election/fear of an AWB/mass shooting panic. Well, maybe a bit higher than that. Message me for details.

So, what was the low point in gun prices between 2008 and 2012? I just started my first stable job in October, so I never really got a chance to buy firearms before this most recent election. I'm going to assume that no new gun laws pass (because if any are passed, then the prices will increase and ...

Now, I'm glad to see that you've decided against kudzu, but you mentioned a large amount of it on your property, did you not? Have you considered getting goats? I hear they're pretty much your best shot at reclaiming any land covered in kudzu.

In response to the gift-card idea mentioned above, someone said that there'd be a potential issue of that homeless person then selling the gift-card to someone for cash to be able to buy drugs/booze with it. Considering that the homeless person would probably be selling the gift card to another home...
