Repeated freezing and thawing of ammunition

The thread on car storage had me wondering. If you store a bunch of ammo in, say, a locked shed that is subject to cold during the Northeastern winter, will the ammunitino experience any appreciable problems in a couple of years' time? I'm inclined to say that, no, the affects are negligible, but I'...

The Glock is best in its 9mm platform -- most reliable, most comfortable to shoot, least likely to explode. I love my G19.

I am working on a review of the Kimber LifeAct Guardian, actually. The unit itself is flat and wide, reminding me of nothing so much as a Star Trek Type 1 phaser. It is light, comfortable, has a nice wide pocket clip, and is easily carried in a pocket dedicated to that purpose, riding much like an o...

Every one of Keane's books I've read so far is a completely negative, no-hope-at-all sort of tale. While I don't insist on a happy ending every time, it gets a bit pointless, these relentlessly hopeless stories of everyone being doomed. Why bother at all, if the end result is just that everyone's sc...

I could go out and buy a late model one too. The point of the project was and is to have to fix the truck so that I learn how in the process. Otherwise I'll have nothing motivating me to learn.

Got one working headlight. One broken. Signal lights work. Rear hatch won't lock. Suspension completely shot. Tires completely shot. Passenger side window doesn't roll down all the way. Passenger side seat won't slide forward. Driver's side seat won't adjust at all, completely rusted in place. Power...

It runs now. It still needs suspension work; I'm not sure how well off the tranny is and I haven't tried the 4WD yet. I need to explore every system to see how bad off it is and determine what is broken. If this truck ever had power steering, it doesn't now, so I have to address that, too. And the h...

There are some Ranger Knives reviews on my e-zine, The Martialist (www.themartialist.com). Not only are these high-quality, solidly-built knives, but the maker, Justin Gingrich, is a very nice guy who deserves your business.

Our popular media feed ethnic minorities in this country a steady stream of propaganda reinforcing the notion that those minorities are the victims of injustice, subjugated by an institutionally racist society. It is small wonder, then, when violence erupts in response to any perceived slight, no ma...

The online stuff, yes -- I was assuming there was also paper involved. Usually when someone says, "Hi, I'm an author," they're referring to the fact that they've published something (in hardcopy, I mean).

The biggest criticism I've heard leveled at Taurus revolvers is weak springs. These give you a great trigger pull but a tendency toward light strikes.

The Inova X5 is not sufficiently bright for a weapon light, in my opinion. I like it, but it's marginal at best as a tactical light in terms of the output; I would not put a light of less than 60 lumens on your weapon. That's a pretty good baseline for all the entry-level Xenon lights. Most lights n...
