BTW when a person dies federal student loans are automatically forgiven.
That was kind of what I was thinking. But hey, who knows? Maybe they are just such good citizens that they will insist upon paying back the student loan even when they don't have to.

Re: Wuuut! Tactical Crossbow

I've been watching him for years. He always brings out the 12 year old in me.

When that bow becomes available in the US I will probably get one. I am willing to bet the US market will be a bit larger than the European market.

Re: Unrest in Memphis

BTW do you really think the gofund me organizer is going to do anything but abscond with the $? The article said that that they were going to pay for funeral costs, pay off any students loans he may have had out and then give the rest to the family. I hardly see any plot holes with that narrative a...

Re: Bug Out Gear Deals (Post 'em when you find 'em) I

In what I would call the Deal of the Week Academy Sports is selling the Taurus G2S for $279. With the purchase you get a FREE Rossi RS22 rimfire rifle. Additionally there is a MIR for $30 through July 7th through Taurus on that model. So for $249 + tax you get a decent concealed carry piece plus an ...

That is a good deal on the Trij but I need a smaller scope and the Trij is quite large. The Romeo 5 is working out just fine so far. They are good little red dots for the price.

Re: Seattle is Dying

Come on now you don't hate NOLA, merely some of the people who are current residents of it. We don't have many homeless around here. Not because we bus them to Seattle but because we have nothing to offer them. There is no shelter, soliciting is illegal, staying on a business property when it is clo...

He and business associate of his went to another state to purchase an automobile they saw on Facebook. They forget their billfolds though and our man shot the seller five times in the chest and t...

Honestly, I'm surprised they aren't more common with police departments. The big question though is, will this help or hinder the push to make suppressors non-NFA items? Police agencies still have to do all the paperwork to get one. Then there is the issue of the optics of "militarizing" the police...

Re: Home defence with an airgun? Countries with no fire arms allowed

Honestly I would go with a crossbow if I could get one. Ideally I'd go with Joerg's six shot pump action crossbow. A little tougher to work than a shotgun but a bolt travelling 150fps will likely have a much better chance of taking down an attacker than an air pistol. If I could not get one then a s...

Re: Seattle is Dying

I tend to take most things that homeless drug addicts and psychotics say with a grain of salt. I know around here if you gave one a bus ticket and $20, they would buy drugs with the $20 and trade the bus ticket for a place to squat in the next town over. But if they hear that they can get a tent, fr...

That could be, although ABC News is not known for being particularly opposed to the left. The huge rise in property crime and the police leaving in droves as well as having homeless drug addicts living everywhere on the streets are all real things though. King County now has the third largest homele...

Re: How did Venezuela end up this way?

I'm kinda done with this thread. With all the chances the Venezuelan people have had in the last couple years to affect change and their whole hearted rush to vote in the persons and laws that afflict them. I can only surmise that the reason Venezuela ended up this way is because the people there w...

Unrest in Hong Kong

The people of Hong Kong are resistant to new measures to put residents under the purview of the PRC judicial system. More than a million people were reporting protesting. There have been a number of protests in the last week but they have not been well covered. More than a hundred tear gas rounds we...

More and more the scent of "false flag operation" is starting to waft through this whole affair. Normally I dismiss such out of hand and in this case I think it is what it is. I don't really need to point out that US oil companies will benefit greatly from any conflict in the Arabian/ Persian Gulf....

Guess I was quick to jump on the "too good to be true train". Lesson learned. When I check the status of my order it is showing my items as shipped. I have no "refund" Email. The shipping has no tracking numbers or any other way to track it though so there is no telling where it is or if it actually...

Concealed Carry On Line Video Course

This guy filmed himself giving a very good course on concealed carry. If you don't require a class for a permit or it has been ages since you have taken such a course it is well worthwhile IMO to give it a look. You do have to get past his speech impediment. It's distracting but not impossible. http...

This hour long video details Seattle dipping in to WROL scenario. The murder rate in Seattle has suffered an astonishing turn around as well although this is not discussed. Once one of the nations' lowest it climbed 20% last year and will likely climb by the same amount this year. The police are qui...

Less than 20 miles from the mountainous border those areas are near impossible to protect. If they have more missiles they will keep firing until empty.
