Re: CR123 Batteries

Are you in the US? In the case of Surefire batteries, why not simply order direct from them? https://www.surefire.com/batteries.html If you also search for authorized dealers, you might find one local to you that you can go to and maybe save a couple dollars. While genuine, at $8 per battery does n...

Re: Overlord

Kind of reminds of a Heavy Metal plot line. Must be an alternate timeline as the only black Airborne Unit in WWII stayed stateside and was used to deal with the Fu-Gu Balloon bombs as some of the first ever black smoke jumpers. Racism was still pretty bad at that point in the US (POWs were allowed t...

Wait, Southern Ohio Guns is still around ? I thought they went out of business a few years back. They are still around but my FFL hates them and will not buy from them. He said he had some issues with them. Caveat emptor. My one purchase went without a hitch. My FFL guy says the same thing about Bu...

The use I have in mind involves three weapon flashlights and three scopes on an annual basis for a total of nine batteries a year. All must work when I want them to work.

Re: CR123 Batteries

I'm telling you there is some kind of plot out there on these batteries. They are small, expensive and easy to fake until you get them. I walked in to Walmart the other day and tried to buy them off the shelf. The clerk said they had 90 something in stock and there were zero on the shelf. They had al...

CR123 Batteries

I need CR 123 batteries. I would like anyone to recommend a reliable source that they have used that provides batteries that: Are: - Fully charged - Inexpensive - Delivered - Available in bulk Are Not: - Fake - Low amperage - Used Places I have tried unsuccessfully to have delivered to me good batte...

Note to self. Attend Raptor's funeral. Leave early and get a free rifle.

Re: "How It Ends" on Netflix

I felt constantly cheated. Other than the lack of payoff at the end every time the story seemed like it was going somewhere they pulled the rug out from underneath it. I really like Forest Witacker and thought he put in a decent performance. The rest of the cast was either milquetoast or in the case...

Funny the "please help me threads" seem to be the new spam. A couple of years ago I was politely told to stuff it when recommending limiting posts for new members. Now seems to be the standard.

Chevy Colorado Turbo - D.. Costs 35K but gets 30MPG on the highway and runs forever. It will be cheaper in the long run. 2nd best choice would be a F150 Turbo - D. Not as good MPG but much cheaper and will likely last even longer.

Re: Post Hurricanes Humanitarian Crisis in PR and the AVI

I imagine the State will have to appoint a new board and put the company into receivership. I guess it is just as well that the rats are leaving the sinking ship. Hopefully someone will step up. If not, more paralysis. Our church is sending a group of missionaries down there to fix roofs in a small ...

There are a host of politics in the Baltimore example that are contributing causes to the accelerated slide of Baltimore down the commode. Police being restrained is merely one of them.

Even if it weren't illegal; an abandoned mental hospital that housed TB patients would be near the bottom of my list of places to hide out in the event of the PAW.

At least you have a lot of time to get ready for winter. I see Iowa ranked as 11th safest in US. There are lots of threads on car kits in contingency planning and vehicle forums.

I am keeping it as is for now. It does everything I want it to do so I can't complain. I had it out yesterday and was playing with it.

The deresonator didn't do a thing for it. But for $8 figured it was worth a shot.

Re: New upper for an old rifle

Ah, college. My early 90s college arsenal consisted of: - A cheap CCW 380 pistol (Jennings maybe, been so long forgot) - A Tec-9 (Spray and pray for HD) - A Lee-Enfield Mk4No2 (for hunting) All told I was fully armed for under $400. After the AWB hit I sold the Tec-9 for several times what I paid fo...

AKs are getting popular in the city. I'd say any time there is a longgun, it's an AK. Used to be SKS or shotguns. I guess business is good in the streets. Nearly all the rifle murders out here are SKS. Just last week we had a triple homicide with a suicide all with an SKS. Murders are still overwhe...

It could be because they are cheaper guns people leave them in their vehicles? Often unlocked. That is a sure a way as any to conduct a transfer to a prohibited person that I know.

The short barrel XD seems to be displacing the HiPoint as thug gun of choice. I am not sure why. They easily cost more than twice as much as a HiPoint.
