Re: Criminals Posing as LEOs After SHTF

Frankly I would be more worried about LEO's becoming criminals.

i.e. Katrina, Hell even Canadian cops go Mad Max at the drop of a hat, or flood, or ice storm. LEO's are the FIRST people you need to control in a SHTF scenario.

Re: History Channel Alone survival series

Sheesh, is this board dying off or what? Caught the last episode, and again there's a guy that's heard of skin on frame tarp boats, but isn't really a paddler. That "boat" being built will never work, there are some fundamentally flawed things (flat bottom, nowhere near the displacement needed, it m...

Re: History Channel Alone survival series

I always wonder why nobody thought to make a skin on frame boat from a tarp? Didn't have the guys bring bows in the 1st season, and pretty much shot nothing with them. Atleast two teams are doing the same thing again, but no boats! Screw that slogging for a mile a day nonsense, spend a day or two t...

Re: Fear The Walking Dead

We were doing so well until one of the leaders with torn up feet was able to sneak out of camp, hunt down a group of armed people that left no trace of where they went, kill them and return to camp in a few minutes without being noticed. https://aremlaw.files.wordpress.com/2015/11/huh-meme-generato...

Re: Ticks

HELL there was such a warm snap up North, the first tick I found this season was behind my girlfriends dogs ear. In February. In Wisconsin. One of the very few upsides is that every vet i've been to in two countries has a jar of soft toothed plastic tick combs at the front desk. Dead easy to use onc...

Re: My new BOV. Anyone else got pics of their adventure bik

Hog riders may trailer their bikes to Daytona or Sturgis, but Beemer riders dress up head to toe in Cordura before riding around the block to Starbucks...before mocking the milk crate on the back of the KLR :D The thing about bikes is you can pretty much turn whatever you have into whatever you want...

Re: strange occurrence with a NATO gas can

The two fold answer is as easy as it complicated. Guessing you filled the tanks at a regular gas station, first thing in the morning? The Desert Rats didn't fill their cans from tanks buried 10' down in the nice cool ground. Just pumping from underground tanks and not leaving extra large headspace i...

Re: History Channel Alone survival series

Watched the first season then forgot about this series, just finished binge watching the first three episodes and remembered why this was the only survival series I watched besides Survivorman. So far my money is on either the husband & wife team (how badass is that gal?!) or the Canadian brothers a...

This is so well done it should be getting more play. It isn't a short vid, it's somewhere between a short movie and a 25min trailer! Hope they make this full length, I'd be in!

Re: Motorcycles

KLR's are the Honda Civic's of bikes...a moderately shitty vehicle with an army of fanbois and a huge aftermarket. Anything close to stock, they just...suck. But once you sink the value and a bit more into aftermarket farkles you might end up with a usable bike. The other big option is the Suzuki DR...

Re: Inflatable canoe/kayak?

Okay not for nothing...but I am THE canoe guy, I've been paddling the Canadian bush & Great Lakes for far too many years, and still paddle two or three times a week when I can. First thing to ask is...what do you want the boat to do? Is this something you might use once or twice a year then keep it ...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Would you trust your 11 y/o to make that shot over your head, through a fence, while the target held a sword to a close friends neck, with a tank pointed at him? Just saying. Depends. If he had spent the last couple years head shooting moving zombies to save his life, and could stand down a pack of...

Did anybody see where they was storing their guns? What an odd place to put them :? Well, guns are tools. But better to treat them like chainsaws and lawnmowers than like rakes and hoes. Edit to add: I wonder if the rifles were in little wagons that they pull out for duty, then put away at ni...

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

The clip of next week with the Gov looks like we are going to have some serious action happening. I think Michonne might be a bit pevved when she sees him. I believe that in the next couple of episodes we are going to see a lot of what Groucho, Chico, & Harpo have been up to (including the burning ...

See, told you guys they'd take the bourbon away :D Hell by this time in the Zpaw I'd have my own microbrewery, home made elderberry wine bottled, and a still set up! End of the world, the dead walking, and a killer swine flu...yeah I would be hitting the sauce pretty good. Not hard to ferment pretty...

Yup, I'd still be in Woodbury by my lonesome, with the boubon & porn...and WALLS! How stupid would you have to be to leave the bourbon and porn at Woodury though? Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Yup the Guvinator, and Woodbury, were rotten to the core. So bad it was best to just uproot and start afresh. So bad, they would secretly, cold bloodedly murder people on a whim and burn the corpses. Who wants to live like that? Milton, Lt. Welles, the National Guard guys, the Guv's own "ar...

Yeah...but the Guvinator is GONE. So there's this whole working community, with walls that are NOT in a constant state of imminent collapse, presumably with a secure water source, and working power grid...not to mention homes instead of cells. So an entire town uprooted itself to bunk with a half as...

Ugh...think I am only watching this season just to armchair quarterback all the continuity errors! Right, this episodes wholly blatant flaws: 1) Tyreese...Gets his ass handed to him by a scrawny batshit crazy honky sheriff...then singlehandedly mows down a hundred walkers. Um, yeah. I'll just imagin...

A tracked dozer would do the trick but I think combines have stereos. Nothing like mowing zombies while rocking rob zombie in the cab..... Yeah...but looking badass in the ZPAW is half the point riding a bike. Can't look like a badass riding a KLR with a milk crate on the back
