Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Good episode, liked the update across all the groups with the exception of Carol which we got last week. Terminus is definitely not right... not certain how "they" can just leave the gates unlocked like that, did not make sense at all...

I read a couple reports lately about coordinated attacks taking place at substations that went largely unreported in the national media... :? http://caughtinsuburbia.blogspot.com/2014/03/report-us-electric-grid-inherently.html http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304851104579359141941...

I'll have to go back and re-view but I thought I heard the cans rattle and then the dog yelp. My guess is that he tucked tail and ran back to the car since they did not show the zombies eating him.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

I think the whole funeral home thing was a set up. Someone corralled those zombies and grabbed Beth.
I agree, reminded me a lot of the plot from the low budget movie, "The Day." There is a "trap" set in a house with supposed stores of food, then the hunters surround the house and spring the trap.

Re: The Value of a Good Bicycle

I have a 90's Trek that serves me well. A few extra parts in storage and barring a frame break, should last me quite a long time. As with some of the other posts, bikes would be best for outdistancing possible encounters but if you did meet up with wild dogs/pigs or something, then something for the...

Thanks for the post! We too found that even shortish walk with 50-60lbs for those of us that dont do it regularly is a struggle. Good to see some more hammock sheltering, I see it's a grand trunk. Any mods and what'd he use for insulation from CBS(cold butt syndrome)? I do like that tent ! Thanks!!...

Nothing says "normal people aren't here this time of the year" than that. They don't know what they're missing.
I was telling my manager about the overnighter yesterday and she just looked at me and said, "I'm not sure what to say..."

4. Need to learn a better method for staking my tent in super powdery snow. I ended up not staking the tent and just hoped that we didn't get high winds. :ohdear: One pro to a free standing shelter is the ability to do just that. Setup without being staked down. You can tie it down with dead fall t...

Nice WMBO Entry. How much of that 50-60 pounds of gear did you actually use? I often find that I have WAY more than I needed, but it's hard to get away from thinking, "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it". In winter, not having what you need can be a deadly mistake. Tru...

I'm real glad you got out. That's a good tip about the JetBoil in extreme cold. I enjoyed the entry. Thanks for posting. Thanks, much appreciated! The Jetboil fuel that I got from EMS even said 4 Season Blend, but I imagine that's probably only good till a certain temp rating. A search on Jetboil s...
