I am not vouching for this site but this appears to a comprehensive model (again I do not vouch for their assumptions) that you will frequently see quoted by the TPTB https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections It shows state data as well as national data. I hope their optimistic projections are mor...

Most of you may have seen this, but if not, fun hobby and great bread. I make boules, dinner rolls, pizza dough, cinnamon rolls etc from this. Super versatile.

Re: Homemade Face Masks
My current protocol is to wear a Buff anytime I'm outside, bunched up near the mouth and nose. Hopefully this helps with pollen here this time of year. I wash my 2 every day they're worn. When I have to go out into the public, I wear an N95 mask. I use hand sanitizer before and after i touch the mas...

Re: Autumn hammock camping on the AT.
Nice trip report.
I was just looking at under quilts for my Hennessey tonight. I have a Downmat 7 also, I guess I could give that a try instead. Though it seems like with the angles, and getting in and out of the hammock it would be difficult and uncomfortable. Worth a shot.

I don't think PS4 will be back compatible with PS3, or so I've read. For all you guys without a PS3, Uncharted 1-3 alone is worth getting one for. Last of Us sweetens the deal. There will probably be a glut of used PS3s on the market after the 4 comes out later this year.

Just saw this on Amazon. Most cases of Clif bars are 15% off, but this seems like the best deal. It's a 10 pack for $3.99, with free super saver shipping! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0074B4JA0/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0074B4JA0&linkCode=as2&tag=na0fab-20...

Re: Down VS Fleece
I either wear fleece in combo with a gore tex, or have it strapped to the outside of my pack. I keep a Patagonia down jacket stuffed inside my pack as an alternative for when I'm not exerting myself, as a backup layer if the fleece gets wet, or an additional layer if it gets really cold.

Lots of insurance with highly rated, financially stable companies. To go with that you need digital pictures of EVERYTHING you own with scans off receipts for big ticket items. Scans and color hard copies of all of your critical documents. I keep a 4 gig drive as part of my Edc, with other copies in...

Gift cards to local dollar store. They don't sell alcohol, I doubt the card could be traded for drugs, and they can use them to get food, drinks, hygiene, or whatever else necessary. A bag full of stuff they don't need or want will just be trashed, and you have no way of knowing what they need.

Look at the Clore Jump N Carry line, it's good quality. Just look at each one carefully as some can only be charged with 120v.

Re: Global Debt Time Bomb explodes soon
Debt is an extension of credit, unrelated to whether or not a country's currency is fiat or backed by one, or a basket of, commodities. What we have is an income to expense ratio problem. Or more accurately millions of piss poor decisions that keep accumulating in a bigger and bigger pile. Fiat, or ...

Connects via Bluetooth and runs on two AA batteries, weighs 8 oz with lithium batteries installed. Seems hard to believe it has enough transmitting power to reach satellites.

At this point it's simply damned if you do, damned if you don't. IMO Greece staying or leaving will only have an effect on the timeline, not the outcome. My only questions are how long can the train stay on its track and how bad the crash is going to be.

Warm weather is a hammock, cold I use an Exped DM 7. I don't function well at all without good sleep and both of these give it to me. Thinking about picking up a Neoair Trekker just to try out even though I don't really need it.

I'd personally like to see a themed contest along the lightweight, minimalist line. See if someone can come up with a well equipped 30 lb bag, or make do with only the bare basics. Warm weather would be the best time for something like that.

Looks good, I especially like seeing the cash and coins set aside just for emergencies and the masks. If you're worried about having the crowbar I'd paint it a really bright color like fluorescent orange. The paint in good condition would to me indicate an unused item set aside for a specific reason...

Ah see I was thinking of, what should I do if the whole damn thing happened tonight, lol.
