Hope every one stays safe, follows advice if it's sensible and doesn't fall foul of badness.

Hello again

Hi there, haven't been on for ages,so thought I'd say hello again here. Well, my epilepsy flared up again so had to have a big medication change which threw me out of the loop quite a bit and had to surrender my driving licence, but will get that back in six months. In the mean time, I have been bui...

Re: Cumbria, UK Floods

It is pretty bad in Cumbria, along with parts of Wales. But fortunately not as many dead as there could of been and less than a hundred homeless as far I can tell.

Re: UK Chapter Discussion

Been busy, building my trike (slowly), usual life stuff and helping to set up the lifeboats new flood rescue team, which we're hoping to go live with in March. Sooooooooooooooooo, 'fraid I can't make the hike, as the Flood logistics officer I've got equipment to sort out, other stuff to source and g...

Re: UK Meet (August 08)

Yeah I'd have liked to turn up and if we could be sure that a waste of space 'Only turn up to take courses the service pays for' probationer would actually show then I'd be able to make it. But as we can't be I've got to cover his weekend duty. Bastard :x

Re: UK Meet (August 08)

I'd love to come, but I'm on duty that weekend so afraid it's a big no show for me. Still I'll be there is spirit while I'm eating BBQ and sitting by the sea.

Re: UK Chapter Discussion

Well I'm provisionally up for the Bisley shoot, only thing I think we'd need to sort out is when/where to meet and possibly accommodation. Hiking up the fan, yep up for that, as long as nothing happens that'll stop me (Like lack of cash) As long as we're not planning on running up of course, please ...

Re: Extensive flooding in upper Mississippi valley

Just caught up with the latest news we have over here. Cedar Rapids looks pretty bad, they said something like 100 city blocks have been evacuated! Damn that's a lot. They showed the rail bridge collapsing even after they put the train on it to weight it down. Just let us know how it's going, and st...

Re: Edible British Plants and Foraging for Food

Good write up Brash. As a side note, Nettles are tasty if you just wilt the young leaves over heat. Takes less time that boiling them and give you something to snack on while you're waiting for the main meal to cook.

Hi from the UK, just curious but how does and Elk join the army? I'm pretty certain that over the forces don't allow a quadruped to take the oath.

Oh dear Cod Gunny, I don't mind protein but I'll take mine from real food thanks. Not saying that I don't trust Body Building and supplements but my brother was into body Building when he was younger and now he's 40 years old and drives and Audi ....coincidence? I don't think so. No, I'll take mine...

Re: Weight Gain

Gentlemen gentlemen, has no one taken my advice seriously? When Stallone had to gain all that weight for Copland he followed the same advice I posted. He gained 40 lbs ricky-tick. I'm taking it under advisement from the friendly local Heart surgeon....apparently he's not keen on the idea ...

I don't own one, I can't afford one but I sure as hell want one. A reverse limb crossbow that looks as cool as heck and is light.

Home made (Cross)Bow Target.

So, today went to my new range for the first time. As there is nothing there and I have to take all my equipment with me I decided to make a Bag Target. It's only a prototype at the moment and you can get professional ones but I'm cheap. Step 1: Get a large plastic 'Hessian' sack . Step 2: Get sever...
