Re: ZSC:010 Info

I wish there was a way to pay up via credit card without going through paypal. oh well... i shall get round to asking friends at some point. I'm not sure whether to become a paid member anyway. I would do if the chapter wasn't inactive but it seems a bit of a waste to pay to join something with no a...

i've abused my 2 Mora's for quite a while now and the short tangs haven't given me any cause for concern. For cheap knives they are extremely good quality.

Question about Mora tangs.

I know that Mora tangs vary quite a lot and i was wondering if anybody knows what the tang is like on a Mora miki or has a way of finding out without removing the handle or smuggling it into an X-ray department.

Re: UK legal weaponry reviews

Yeah, it's hidden and disguised issues make it a no go project. I would not advise this, it must be a utility tool, any intention to use it in self defense turns it into an offensive weapon. The fact that i choose to carry it in that way is not an issue. otherwise you could say that keeping it in y...

Re: UK legal weaponry reviews

I always use my walking stick, mainly because i cant walk without it... the fact that it is a solid steel pole isn't necasary but makes it heavy and manly and grrrrr I am currently working on a walking stick project where i have a concealed (legal spec) knife in the handle for quick draw purposes bu...

Re: UK legal weaponry reviews

In that case it would only be legal if you were carrying it during the hours you work. If you aren't working or going to or from work then it wouldn't be legal. I disagree. I did ask a policeman this and he said that if I was in a work vehicle fully stocked with all my gear it wouldn't matter if I ...

Re: UK legal weaponry reviews

I can legally drive around with 8" knives in my car as I have good reason if stopped. Not quite true. For example, if it is a knife for fishing then you must be on your way to or from a fishing trip and it must not be in your car other than that. The only way you could realistically get around it i...

My little collection: http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/203/091208152803.th.jpg The Mora is by far my favourite of the lot. The opinel was my favourite intil i used it to cus a small stick and the blade was instantly blunt and bent. The bowie is much better for chopping than the machete due to its ...

Re: UK legal weaponry reviews

Gets my vote, think I have a few "toys" upstairs I can hunt out. Ok nice 1. I will get some piccies and write some reviews of my toys. The way i see it is any weaponry that is legal to OWN in the UK and if it is legal to own but not to carry then the legalities should be specified in the review. I ...

UK legal weaponry reviews

I would be interested in getting a list of reviews of weaponry legal to the UK. Would others be interested in this? I think it could cut down on the ammount of people confused about what is and isn't legal and also which knives etc. would be best for certain jobs. If anybody at all shows interest in...

Just in case you were not aware.... It is never to be drawn for trivial or mundane purposes and must taste blood before it can be resheathed, even if you must nick your own finger. Seriously man, that's the rule. Nice knife. i believe the old tradition was that if it did not taste another pe...

Stay put as long as the water supplies hold up (if none then wait until you have to leave to get water). Then to get out: Piss shirt bend bar! Disclaimer: I know it doesnt really work. It is put there for comedy purposes only and not to be confused with actual belief that films always depict reality.

Recieved my Opinel No.8, No.6 and Mora-Miki today. All of them are brilliant knives. The Mora Miki will be my knife of choice for taking camping due to the nice quick release sheath, No.6 for EDC and the No.8 will be my food prep type knife. Only issue i have is with the Mora-Miki. Just ordered the Mora Miki as well to keep in my bag.

I went camping last week in the cotswolds and the 1 thing i was missing was a small knife so i'm making sure i dont make the mistake again before my next camping trip in a couple of weeks. (fingers crossed for a bit of snow by then).
