I think I watched it last year. It had some weird time dilation thing going on but for what it was it was ok.
I think that was a different movie. This one was a straight linear timeline. I don't even recall any flashbacks.

Re: Tomorrow: When the War Began movie!

I am digging up this old thread because I’ve watched the movie tonight. As mentioned before it’s red dawn in Australia but with much better looking actors and actresses, I also like the fact that they had four women and only three guys so we much more relationship centered movie. Thanks to this thre...

Re: an Australian How to guide to prepping...thoughts?

Mount Kosioscu is the tallest peak in Oz, I would do a google search of any deaths in the area to skiers, exposure, avalanches to see if it worth mentioning. My wife is a geophysicist and she confirmed that Australia has no fault activity so I would skip that or just put a link to New Zealand's EQC.

Re: an Australian How to guide to prepping...thoughts?

What, you mean Crocodile Dundee didn’t have those serious bush skills? But seriously, I would begin with threat assessment as chapter 1. Which based on my knowledge of Australia, I would listed as drought, flooding, fire, tropical storms. Drought, fire and flooding seem to make an unholy triangle. T...

A lifetime of accomplishments of which the dirt knows none, Only in death can one truly return Return the carrots, the apples and potatoes, The chickens, the cows, the fish and tomatoes. Re: Lost Hiker in Hawaii Found, Search Continues for Common Sense

For the record, formal search and rescue concluded after 72 hours. The remaining 14 days was done by friends, family and volunteers. It’s good to be liked. I totally agree that she made a host of bad decisions, but as I read in the Washington Post article about this, her father developed software th...

Re: The Domestics

Saw it this afternoon while my kids were at a pool party. Silly premise and I agree that Nina was dead weight until the last third of the film. I thought the interpretation of the post apocalyptic gangs was interesting; not a low rent rip off of road warrior. Would have liked to have seen more about...

I'm three episode in to Black Summer and I like the Richard Linklater "Slackers" style of short intersecting story lines.

Can't wait to see the rest.

Re: Which of these 2 bags would you pick?

Really, when I did it they sent back a backpack that was 5L bigger than the original. Outdoor Products found at Walmart. Decent and a simple life time guarantee. Seam fails, fabric rips, just mail it in and they mail back a new one. That simple. That has not been my experience, twice. I have a very ...

Re: Which of these 2 bags would you pick?

As everyone else has mentioned, crappy bags. Furthermore, did you notice that one bag was almost half the size of the other? First figure out what you want/need to carry. Then look for the bag to carry it to a) get you home for 25 miles or thru hike the Pacific Coast Trail. A couple other options ar...

Amazon Prime provides the first ZPAW sitcom. The first episode was pretty stupid, the second was much better. Each episode is maybe 17 minutes. Easy to binge on.

Reminds me of the old Irish joke:

Priest says to congregation, "Name me one thing worse than drink."

From the back of the church, "Thirst!"

Maybe you just have to be Irish.........
I smiled.

Kinda-sorta Brownshirt-ity like? The color is just a coincidence. As you can see most of them are pensioners and campesinos. The real Strumabteilung of Chavismo are the colectivos, violent motorcycle gangs with a Bolivarian patina. http://www.notiactual.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/wpid-grave-lev...

Re: How did Venezuela end up this way?

From Bloomberg: Venezuela's Rank-and-File Soldiers Have Been Deserting in Droves About 4,300 national guardsmen have left in the past 5 years - Active and reserve military barred from leaving the country I'm not surprised & I don't think anyone else is either. True but important to note that the Gu...

Two millennial couples, Bro & Barbie and emo guy & girl from Party of 5 crash in a desert ravine. Spectacular landscape shots. Realistic but slow paced until the ending where I will need to consult a real doctor.

Cockneys vs Zombies

This received several passing mentions but never a full reviews.

Now on Amazon Prime, think Shaun of the Dead meets Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Cool opening credits, great character actors, brainless fun and the original Pussy Galore Honor Blackman.

The Berreta ARX160. It’s modularity is cool but I love that it is fully ambidextrous. I’d love to be able to buy six to outfit the whole family. I liked that the hero used a bicycle to traverse the the post zombie apocalypse landscape and used a British community garden to supplement his diet. I also liked that the movie was in focus. Everything else was utterly brain-dead. Typical set up of arrogant scientist who’s genetically modified some...
