Re: NEF .410 Tactical Muzzle

I'm thinking about converting a 16 Gauge Montgomery Wards pump shotgun by welding up the mag tube to make it a single shot, than sleeving the barrel to .17 HMR, but leaving it smoothbore, just in case CCI ever makes a shot cartridge for .17. Oh, and I'm going to put a rail on it. That would be wild...

This is a "Why does a dog lick his balls?" project.

Has anyone pimped out a single shot shot gun? Here is what this gun currently looks like.

Re: NEF .410 Tactical Muzzle

I'm getting hammered on this on some of the gun owner forums. Let's pretend that I'm doing this just because I can. Has anyone else put a tacticool muzzle on their NEF single shot?

NEF .410 Tactical Muzzle

I have a NEF .410 single shot shotgun for the wife. She has trouble with anything bigger. It currently has been cut down to a 20" barrel with the stock turned into a pistol grip. She has a hard time with it. I have the ATI tactical stock, fore end and heat shield on the way for it. http://t1.gstatic...

Re: Aquaponics first test

Had the first big glitch today. I overfed the fish and had an algae bloom you wouldn't believe. I lost about 10, 6-8 inch fish. I drained the tank and put fresh water into it. I put the fish into buckets while I did that and then put the buckets in the tank until the two temperatures could equalize....

before the biofilm forms you will have to disinfect the water before drinking it. DO NOT add disinfectants to the filter!

There are 144 communities upstream of me flushing their toilets into my drinking water. :?

Municipalities out west have been recycling waste water effluent for years.

Water Clarification Tip:

Just learned this yesterday and it works. To drop sediment (I call it turbidity) out of cloudy water; drop one egg white into your water and gently stir for a few minutes. In a bit the albumen in the white will cause the particles to coagulate and form floc. The floc will get too heavy to stay in su...

Re: Aquaponics first test

I have found Backyard Aquaponics and Aquaponics Journal helpful resources. I plan to have a fairly large system, once I do my time here to pay for the land and equipment. Is there any way that you can experiment with 5-gal bucket units over there? It would be one hell of a concept to teach to the l...

Re: Aquaponics first test

It originally had a bleach product in it and then was used for water hauling. Its clean as a whistle! The media in the pilot project has already clogged up. I am designing a cyclonic separator for solids removal to install prior to the filter bed. The quest is to do this from found parts and hardwar...
