Don't know what kind of pine. I was debarking with a bush axe. Then I used a knife to scrap it thinner. I would love to get to a green dean class. Love his videos.

Pine Bark Bacon

Thought I would share this. I fried the inner bark of a pine tree in bacon fat till golden brown and delicious. It does not taste exactly like bacon. It is salty and crunchy. Worth a try if you can scrape off some pine bark. I was debarking a whole tree so I saved some. http://www.survivalpunk.com/w...

For that cheap I would have bought one too. It looks fun to play with. With a lifetime guarantee it's worry free. I love buying cheap gear to try to break it. It's nice when you cant. I have a $25 kabar knock off I've battoned through trees! Still keeps an edge. Crazy

Good find! I always thought a plain deck of cards would be boring in a BOB. I've kicked around the idea of bringing two decks of Magic the Gathering cards.

Just a quick update. I took it out yesterday and batoned some nice dry wood and it tore through it. Had a little trouble with a knot besides that it worked great
