Re: Tomahawk Choice

I have been looking at hawks recently also. I've come to the conclusion that if I buy one I'll go with a hand made hawk. There is a guy close to me that makes some beauties. He has an ebay store: http://myworld.ebay.com/butchesforge?_trksid=p2047675.l2559" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fals...

What would be cool is if there were other runners in the area, and you became infected and then tried to chase down the person. I can see that turning into all kinds of liability though.

Re: I need help trying to find a nice CC pistol.

I'm with Kutter: Glock 19. 15 rounds, smooth shooter.

I also shoot the G26 well. I don't mind my pinky hanging off the grip. 10 rounds and it conceals very nicely.

Re: How do you grip your Pistol?

I guess I never really thought about my grip too much. I had to go pick up my gun and point it to see how I held it. My strong hand was high on the grip so that was good, but my weak hand kind of cupped my other hand around the bottom of the mag with the thumb grabbing at my pinkie. Looking at the ...

Re: safe rabbits

Great read through this thread, glad it was bumped. Looking at getting some rabbits next year. To the bones aspect when it comes to dogs. A dog can eat any bone, as long as it is uncooked. Once cooked they may become brittle, snap into sharp pieces and get stuck in the throat, or damage the stomach.

Gold dots are popular, Corbon, Rangers.. I'd say choose a JHP from a well known manufacturer and fire 100 rounds through your gun to ensure it feeds 100%

Re: How do you grip your Pistol?

Maverick, I've never once caught anything on the slide using a thumbs-forward grip. There's a reason 90% of competition shooters use a high, thumbs forward grip, give it a try sometime. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it at all. Just was worried about the mall ninja, you tube warriors th...

Re: Airsoft and muscle memory

You could practice your stance, grip, draw, speed reload, and admin reloads. Firing a real pistol will be completely different. Recoil obviously, trigger feel and weight, also I'm not sure if airsoft pistol triggers have a reset. All of that said it couldn't hurt. Do you know any responsible 21+ yea...

The G19 is the perfect Glock. Obviously you're aware you can use G17 mags in the 19, and would make for a good reload mag. Good luck!

Re: What firearms have you qualified with?

By "qualified" the USMC apparently taught me tactics that should have been updated some 15 years prior. Marksmanship, fundamentals thankfully remain the same: M16A2 M9 (taught cup and saucer grip  ) M249 SAW TOW missile (computerized, and several training shots) M2 .50 Mk19 Grenade M203 AT4 M24...

Re: Doomsday Bunkers 3part series

Several things about this show and builder that concern me: One episode a bunker that was previously installed had flooded due to a hurricane. Now they market these things as survivial/storm bunkers and I'm sure those people placed a ton of preps inside that flooded bunker. So there goes months wort...

Is this a rip in fabric? Or...?

I've accidently cut a hole in a maxpedition pack and I sealed it using superglue and sewing when dry.

Hippies were a tad out there, but they are hippies after all. I was impressed that he did own a firearm at all, and his bunker is incredible. The spider hole guy seems very knowledgable. He seems maybe a shade overconfident. Although I think he was SF so maybe he truly is a badass.m The dreamer lady...

Re: Bringing a knife to a gunfight- Tueller Drill (21 foot r

A knife fight happened in my county last night, single stab wound to the upper left chest, more under the left arm it appears. He didn't make it. Knife was described as a "hunting knife" An old neighbor of mine was stabbed and sliced up pretty bad because of an altercation on a basketball court. He ...

Re: Bringing a knife to a gunfight- Tueller Drill (21 foot r

Any combination of knife/gun in a fight within 7-10 yards has a great potential for all participants to be severely injured. Your greatest asset is your awareness, the faster you pick up the threat - the better your chances of survival are. Get off the X, move away diagonally trying to get as much d...
