Re: High Ground: House of Adair - discussion thread

No doubt James' opening up the way he did would serve to disarm t Rob of his mistrust and the chip on his shoulder. Good opening gambit when you look at it like a politician.

Re: High Ground: House of Adair - old draft; dead thread

I'm shocked that James is trusting Rob like this, I'm not sure I do. I also can't help but think that James is going to keep a thing or two up his sleeve, just-in-case his trust in Rob doesn't quite pan out. I definitely noticed that there was no offer to give Rob access to the key, or give him a du...

Re: Sudden Death

The descriptions of the mutants made me think of the "future predator" from the TV show Primeval:

That was my assumption as well.

Best that they don't, maybe? We know that Henry's priority is Lux's blood, betting the same is true of his friends, who may not want the burden of everyone else.

Same here, great story, my only feedback (other some firearms technicalities) is that Fleetwood Mac is NOT, repeat, NOT a disco band. Perish the thought!

stuff  ...Rob is a boy scout. He's believes in rules and order and duty... I think everyone believes in those things to a point, but some see them as a means to a civil society, and others see them as ends in their own right. In our case, I think James is more of the former and Rob more of th...

Re: High Ground: House of Adair - more new stuff, 7/23

... I find myself on Team Rob, so far he seems to be more sympathetic to my way of thinking, a family man, blue collar, served, worked hard to make it to at least where is it seems, so far has been shown to have taken power reluctantly, takes risks for his family, and even strangers to do the right...

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

“You’re a good man, Michael. So you go do what a good man does.” “And what are you going to do?” “I’m going to do what a bad man does.” Think that's the best quote of it so far. I'm liking Mundy's character. Same here. Mundy's not a "bad man", but he knows how to think like one. I see Michael and M...

Another great TacAir story, certainly hope we hear more about Mr. Jackson's exploits!

One question, though, first Pedro, now Dusty, what's the significance of two-six?

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Yeah, there aren't many American soldiers that I know of who would spout that "greater good" stuff, except as a punch line. In my experience those in the military tend to be the most cynical of all, particularly if they've seen combat.

Many of us visualize what these characters look like, when I read the passage about Hya running into the woods, this is what came to my mind:
