I'm leaning towards making a 20 inch barrelled rifle instead of a carbine like Rick posted. Mostly because I already own a 16 inch barrelled AR and I just like the looks of the retro rifles. 1918 Italian Carcano Terni Model in 6.5 with bent bolt and 2000 meter adjustable sight. How comfortable or uncomfortable is the wire stock when shooting that M1, Rick ? It's fairly decent for a wire stock. I do have a slight issue is with the pistol grip, which could stand to be about a half inch longer. As is, the pinky finger on my large-ish hand ends up fighting with the sling swiv...
