Re: 20 Volt Multi-Tool Sets: Opinions and Experiences

Dewalt has my vote. I don't have experience with the other brands, but I've used the Dewalt a lot and have never failed to be impressed with it. My buddy has a set and we work on our cars and offroaders a lot using those.

Re: Ganzo knives

I have a couple. They seem to be decent quality if a bit heavy. If you don't mind that they are mostly knockoffs of major-brand knives (not counterfeits; they don't claim to be the brand they're copying, they just clone the general styling), they're a good value for the money.

Re: *Improved*Keep a low profile with 2QT Canteen Mod!

Aw man, all the pics are gone. I remembered this idea recently and wanted to refresh my memory of how it was set up, but it appears I was too late. Does anyone else have pics of the original canteen holster setup, or something similar?

Re: Suvival LED Flashlight Testing.

I've been carrying a Fenix PD35 for a while now, and am quite happy with it. Takes 2, CR123 batteries or 1, 18650. I am not set up to verify drain and lumens and whatnot, but it seems to have a respectable lifespan on a rechargeable 18650. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JK5Y1NS/ref=ox_sc_act_t...

Re: The anti-AK... AR47 vs Mini-30

I love the idea of an AR-47. I bought one from Radical Firearms, through AIM Surplus. It was $500. It has difficulty chambering and/or extracting rounds, and the action does not cycle when I fire a round. After about 4 weeks of back-and-forth, they sent me an RMA label, and the upper is going back ...

I got the rifle back this week and took it out this weekend. They replaced the BCG, and now it works great, other than a couple hard primers. Guess I need the Enhanced Firing Pin for it.

Re: $499.95 Radical Firearms AR 5.56 or 7.62x39 Anygood?

Mine has been disappointing. It has a hard time chambering and extracting, and the action does not cycle when I fire it. I have to manually cycle it, and it sometimes sticks horribly. I contacted Radical over a month ago; they apparently only reply to emails once a week, so it's taken until now to f...

Re: Free-float forend interchangeability

Ok, good to know. Thanks for the info. The AR I'm getting comes with a free-float forend, which only has rail along the top; I wanted the option of a bipod or donkey-dick for it, and was looking into putting on a quad rail.

Free-float forend interchangeability

I'm new to ARs, and I was wondering, do most/all free-float forends use the same type of mount base, that replaces the delta ring, so someone could swap out just the quad rail, like you could with the non-free-float style, or does each brand/model have its own... size, or thread pitch, or whatever, ...

I just ordered a Radical in 7.62x39 from AIM. It's my first AR. I also really liked that price, didn't see any significant issues mentioned in reviews, and figured, what the hell.

I saw one for $762.51 the other day, online, but don't remember where offhand, or what brand it was. That's the cheapest I've ever seen one.

Nice to know about these. I'm waiting for an AR in x39 to arrive, and have been looking at a lot of different mags. I might get one to try out.

Had the front half of the exhaust line, with the catalytic converter, replaced, and put in new o2 sensors. My god, if I'd known just doing that would boost the power and mileage so drastically, I would've replaced the shot cat a long time ago.

Finished replacing the cap, rotor, plugs, and wires on my 2000 Jimmy. I am NEVER buying another car that has spark plugs I can't get to by just opening the hood.

In my experience, you can't go wrong with Spyderco. Even their cheap knives are strong performers. If you haven't yet, give Kershaw a look also. Many of their inexpensive knives are pretty darn good, and their premium Zero Tolerance line are all beasts.

I quit smoking about 2.5 years ago, switched from coffee to decaf green tea earlier this year, and have been working on a low-carb ketogenic diet for almost 3 months now. If the S does HTF, I hope I'll be able to get by a little easier.
