Earl Backcountry Survival Tablet
Please disregard if this was brought up else where, couldn't find anything. Found this tablet on foxnews today, seems like a really interesting concept for a tablet. http://www.meetearl.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Description is from the foxnews article: Designed specifically...

Re: New war machine - 1966 GTO
Well, the old girl finally had her maiden voyage. Considering the old goat has been sitting for a decade, it's really been not a headache getting her back on the road. Brake lines were good, I replaced the fuel lines, new K&N air filter, new starter, new alternator still needs to go in. Had to repla...

Re: New war machine - 1966 GTO
So I let the GTO idle for about an hour yesterday, still not on the road, haven't had time to tackle the breaks. Ran fine during the time, once I shut it off, nothing would happen, no lights, clicking of the starter, no indicators, just nothing. When I opened the hood, it seemed really hot, but not ...

Re: New war machine - 1966 GTO
I'm just happy it started at all, but new fuel lines and a new carb are definitely in the works.

Re: New war machine - 1966 GTO
First on the list is getting her road worthy, sitting for 10 years so all new fluids, rubber, hopefully the break and fuel lines are good. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s259/kremor/WP_20130414_001_zps4ea0ed0d.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s259/kremor/WP_20130414_003_zps377a6864.jpg htt...

New war machine - 1966 GTO
Not really a bug out vehicle, maybe emp proof, but wanted to share my new baby. It's a 1966 GTO that will be occupying much of my wallet in the coming months. http://s154.photobucket.com/user/kremor/library/GTO" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s259/kr...

Re: Mutants, Zombies & The Apocalypse
Really awesome story! Question though, did the mutants always have their power, or just a side effect of the zombie virus. The pre-paw story about the teleknetic orgies confused me in this regard. But anyway, really good story, hope this one doesn't fade.

Re: The one that got away
2000 Toyota Tundra SR5 extended Cab, only had 50k miles on it when I traded it in in 2007 for an 07 Nissan Sentra. Reason was 75 dollar fill ups at the time we're killing my wallet. Love my Sentra to death, but that truck would be paid off by now and I could never get that beast stuck anywhere.

Re: Seafoam
If people actually did this frequently to their cars, they would get so much more life out of them. To me seafoam is like getting your oil change. But I seafoam about once every 20k miles.

Re: Seafoam
Get 2 cans, 1 full can into the gas tank than fill up, half a can into the oil, and find the break booster line for the other half of the can. Don't go any further than say 100 miles before you need to change you oil, seaform will make it a nice black sludge. When putting into your break booster lin...

Easily one of my favorites too, I just appreciate the radically different take of a zombie story.

Re: Pets
Dogs are the best alarm system. I plan on bugging if if at all possible to do so, so my dogs are definitely in my bug out plan. We always keep a 50 pound bag of dog food on hand. Now the cats, ours hunt everything from moles, rats, bats, so they should be okay feeding off nature.
