Re: Brief History of Tactical Pants

This question may seem dumb. I have no "tactical" pants, just a pair of wrangler carpenter pants and a kaki colored pair of wrangler cargo pants. (Hate both for their extra baggyness). That strap thing you guys are talking about, is it the "hammer loop"? On carpenter pants, yes. That loop is called...

Re: American Guns

Unless I'm mistaken, Cops is the longest running reality television show to date. Definitely an older 'reality' format, and is something I can still stand to watch on occassion. I thought it was all re-runs. I don't believe I have ever saw a new or even current episode. (Disclaimer, I don't watch o...

Re: Pay it Forward - Firearm parts and accessories

Nim, none is of $25 value by itself, hope that's ok. The rail sections are flat bottomed. *Brake GONE*. The thing on top is sling adapter for M4 style stock slots, the little buckle goes through the hole and then lays against stock. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg109/tjsjr/IMG01390.jpg NEED: s...

See it all the time in local ads, even by FFL's.
"Mosin Nagant for sale, shoots 7.62X54R (same as .308)"
My guess, they are trying to sell to people who don't know any better.

Re: All Purpose Optics and Mounts Thread

For target shooting, sure. For serious use, I think the velocity loss would equate to poor terminal ballistics at extended range. In other words, you could hit a target, but not do as much damage as you'd want. Personally, I'd go with a good red dot and a flip out magnifier. What about the, 2-7(8)X...

Not that Im terribly worried but did it get axed? I had no recording this week and dvr shows nothing at least for the next month. I used it to fill the void that is worse than the show with day time television.

Re: All Purpose Optics and Mounts Thread

Heres a "general" question. EDIT: 223/5.56 Would a 14.5" 1/7 chrome AR barrel be able to take advantage of a scope with more than......say......10X? Ammo and shooter do not matter. Just asking if the big scopes are out of the range of the barrel. If that makes sense. Example. 4-16x44 and bigger.

OK I got the sights! Now I need some help in comparing these to the "full-flavor" Magpul MBUS. They seem to be very sturdy. The front sight is a square post AR front sight. I got the pts's I ordered (they are not stamped PTS like others but the box was the bi color PTS. Right away I could see the d...

Definatly need the monkey option, and train it to pick up when done. Reloading all the bowling balls that high up would bring the suck.
