Re: Did Zombies eat the Headquarters?

Hmmm, yeah, I sent in an email the week after ZCON and haven't heard back either ... Welp, in diplomatic fashion, I suggest an electoral vote for a new HQ, somewhere more protected from zombies, like the frozen Canadian north, to avoid such tragedy from befalling headquarters again ... Why the blue...

Re: Did Zombies eat the Headquarters?

Last month (23 May) I clicked join, filled out the form, and mailed my money order to the address provided by the web page (P.O. Box in St. Louis.) Today I received my envelope back. "Return to Sender - Vacant - Unable to Forward" :?: And what do I do now? Use the money to buy british pounds today ...

I choose Tavor because AUG couldn't even kill unarmed, out of shape, pack a day smoking Ice T.

Well damn, I guess I can't make fun of Keanu Reeves anymore. Dude is pretty damn good with a gun. Taran Butler and his crew seem to be the "go to" trainers for the Hollywood-types lately. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKu-NL4H7wI So Keanu Reeves kicks Will Smith"s ass at Pewing. Good to know.

Slow day, more like slow couple of years. Bad ass lowers though. I'll drink to that on a Sunday morning.

ETA, Hey halfapint, what do you use a halfapint for?

To wash down a double shot!

Re: My pistol blew up today - pics added

LowKey and Tedbeau, glad both of you were unharmed in your experiences with squibs. LowKey, that is awesome customer service. Glad the guy admitted it and made it right. Tedbeau, no offense taken. It's a reasonable scenario, but I am confident I did not have a failure to eject. If there was a squib...

Re: Handgun Condition while concealed

I carry my pistol with a full chamber and magazine. I also carry it in a holster that fully encloses the trigger guard and is made of material that will not warp into the trigger guard. With careful gun handling and reholstering; this method is safe. It allows me to respond to a threat by shooting i...

Re: 5.56mm Green Tip M855 Could be banned

Well, you see, to get the support to change a law people have to be upset about its implementation. If the law existed but was never enforced, motivation to change the law is much less or nonexistent. The way I see it the law bans certain types of bullet construction irrespective of whether it actua...

Re: 5.56mm Green Tip M855 Could be banned

So, the reason to prevent the ban is ... just cause. No one really wants the round specifically, but everyone is throwing a fit over the notion of banning the thing that no one requires to do any of the things they already do? We are gun owners. We like making our guns go boom. More cartridge suppl...

Re: 5.56mm Green Tip M855 Could be banned

Yup, while there is no special purpose for M855 for civilians there is also no special purpose for M855 for criminals. That is the reason they are giving for banning it. To stop criminals from defeating body armor they can already defeat with any .223/5.56 round. The only effect the ban will have is...

Every 500-1000 rounds. Its a Glock. In the meantime if I get it really muddy or gritty during training I will rinse it off in a puddle and squirt lube in it.

Re: Eight .22 revolvers + a drill = legal machine gun?

Probably Rohm .22lr. But they are total crap and overpriced and you would have to buy them on the secondary market. You could use Marlin 795's or Mossberg Plinksters. Those are rifles, but they generally work, are .22lr and you can get them for around $150 new. The cheapest pistols that will probabl...

If you have to knock your slide back into battery the gun is not "running" the ammo. Figure out the issue yourself or send it back to Highpoint for warranty work.

Re: How long will ammo last? both exposed and properly seale

The only ammunition that still survives from 10,000 years ago are arrow heads, atlatl heads, javelin heads and sling stones. So if you have a sling your ammunition could last 10,000 years in a fireable condition. The rest will need some rebuilding but will be so obsolete that no one would seriously ...

My first and only is my Bersa .380. Fits my hand beautifully, shoots well(except for the Herters stuff it doesn't like it much), and isn't overly large so fairly easy to conceal(for when I get my CHL). Bought it on the way to a wedding, and have put maybe 200 or so odd rounds through it. Yeah I kno...

No, we used Gingerbread Man's handloads on a coconut. The cartridges were loaded with the same bullet as the cartridges in the link. I believe the velocity is similar.

So that's a no, you haven't handled it and are basing your criticism on a preproduction picture. Nailed it. Just like everything anyone else says about this firearm. It is all gonna be based on preproduction pictures until it actually gets out on the market. Unless you want to take Gun's and Ammo's...
