Re: What does it take to find shooting gloves that FIT?!

Batting gloves work the best for me. They were cheap enough that I tried several makers and settled on spam. They fit "like a glove" and are cheap and easy to replace

Re: Several must read SCi-fi based Apocalyptic novels

Just finished reading a young adult novel called "Virulent- The Release". First time author Shelbi Wescott ( my daughter's English teacher) put this out this year. Good story with teen angst, hiding out in the local high school from a crazy "leader" and general end of the world stuff. Good job on bu...

Re: Survivors by Rawles brief review

Got this from the library. I'm glad I did not waste my 'pre-1965' coin on it. This book seemed to have more "filler" chapters that have nothing to do with the story over all, like the improved "Patriots". One chapter just seemed dedicated to selling a particular brand of wind-mill. Character continu...

Re: Terra Nova

Of course there is a "Badlands" in the show. One of the idiots that killed Star Trek- Brannon Braga- is involved with Terra Nova. He always has a thing for the "Badlands". You can bet there will be intricate plots that go nowhere ( like the temporal cold war) and when the show dies, he will blame it...

Just saw this posted at Gunbroker.com -RE: buckshot use in home defense- "One thing that is not commercially available that is very effective is to modify your self-defensive rounds. Start with number 6 bird-shot; cut off the top 1/32 inch of shell; pour the shot into a disposable pan; add wax and h...
