Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

Yeah, the Ruger PCC's have been sold out everywhere since May. It's interesting to me that they made the list of panic buys, along with shotguns and Glocks. Are you set on the Ruger version? The only one's I've seen selling lately are going for over MSRP, which puts you in the price range of a AR 9...

Laager, I'm getting 404 errors whenever I try to look at the photos you linked to.

I'm going to assume they're pics of the ZEV-09 your wife bribed you with.

I was in a LGS yesterday and they had a Mosin for $500. :ooh:
Unless it's a really rare model or one of the sniper rifles with the scope, they're asking about 200 bucks too much.

There's a seller local to me trying to sell one for 350 and it's had zero hits on the ad.

I picked the wrong friggin time to buy a Ruger PC9 carbine. :gonk: I called pretty much every gun shop in my AO and not one of them had one, nor could they order one. The one shop connected to a local range had plenty of ARs, though. Even had a couple F1 rifles, but no PC9's. I'm going to try the l...

Re: Preps for a Contested Election in November

I stopped at a Cabella's Friday evening to stretch my legs and break up a 3 hour drive. The main ammo aisle had a single box of ammo. That lone box made the aisle feel even more empty. Did you see whay cal./ga. it was? Just curious. Probably something super popular, like 8mm Nambu or .32/35 Stevens...

Re: My Job, My Hell...

Well now, it turned out that the ominous music was in fact El toque a degüello. I called Lil in the morning, after breakfast, that was strangely quite and they made French toast with extra crispy bacon. I know there is no such thing as "extra" bacon, but there was more bacon that usual. Now, comes ...

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

Are reproductions of the 1917 Enfield bayonet not available? Yes, there are one or two around. I've read reviews of them and it appears that most if not all are made in China and QC of the lug slot, locking button, and spring itself have been less than stellar. It's amazing to see that a genuine M1...

I'm thinking of getting a bayonet for my AR, but mine is a 16 inch barrel carbine and everything I'm finding is designed for 20 inch barrel rifles. I know there's adapters, but everywhere I check is either sold out or backordered by months. Ah well, it's not really necessary, just something I thoug...

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

You could have FOUR bayonets! But in all "reality" if one had an AR carbine or rifle AND a Mosin Nagant with a bayonet, the latter is perfect for personal work while keeping the attacker appropriately "socially distanced", in this era of COVID-19, we have to take all necessary precautions. I really...

Social Media and mainstream media are the weapons of choice due to their scope and speed for deploying a narrative. Yes ho...

Seems to be working fine for me, and I have to live with Joe Bob's Country Internet.
It may just be something on my end then.

I'll give it a few minutes and try again.

Anyone else having issues with Armslist not loading ?

I'm trying to look at the insanely overpriced guns for sale in my AO and I can't get the pages to load at all. I've checked my internet and it's not on my end, so I'm assuming it's something in Armslist's end.

Re: Denver Shooting by TV News "Security Guard"

My understanding is that "SG" assaulted the victim by trying to snatch a flag or sign the victim was carrying prior to the shooting. Lee Keltner apparently fought back and pushed "SG" back wherein "SG" decides to pull his weapon and shoot Lee once just as he (or someone else) tries to mace "SG". I'v...

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

In my defense, I was using a gun I had zero experience with and that had probably last been sighted in when Teddy Roosevelt was still in office. Well, that explains it. Roosevelt was damn near blind and a terrible shot. He left wounded game all over North America and Africa. Given the age of the gu...

I'm liking the feel of the Magpul grip without the grip tape on it. I had a Hogue AK grip on it when I first bought it, but it just felt odd. Same thing with the Hogue grip that was on that GP100 I used to have. Ended up replacing that one with a Pachmayr Diamond Pro grip that felt a lot better. I'v...

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

Well, I finally had to retire the camo grip tape I've had on my AK's grip for the past six years. It got to the point where all the adhesive stuff was gone and the tape started to unravel. So I peeled it off, wiped away whatever adhesive residue had accumulated on my grip over the years and went ba...
