Re: Arsenal SLR107R

I took delivery of my new rifle. After doing a thorough inspection at the FFL and again inspecting the rifle after bringing it home, I have yet to find anything wrong with it. I think as others have mentioned in the recent past, Arsenal May have changed the shape of the trigger blade since previous ...

Re: Arsenal SLR107R

The Molot Vepr AK seems like a better deal, considering build quality (RPK barrel, receiver, etc.) and potential for sanctions against Russian-made small arms, which would drive prices into lower earth orbit. I agree but arsenal hasn't offered a slr107 in this configuration yet and I wanted one lol...

Re: See All Open Sight: AK with Ultimak

Nice to see something new coming to my attention. It seems that in the last year or so, the AK market has really taken off especially with organizations like AKOU and guys like Rob Ski. Im kind of ashamed to admit that while im home sick this week, i ordered a new Arsenal lol. So im def looking for ...

Re: Great deal on an PSA AK47...

I've heard mixed reviews on these. People love them and have no issues or it's a pile of junk and isn't worth the money according to others. For the price, I'd bite.

Re: 5.56 AK'ish options

IWI Galil ACE 5.56. Not an ak, not an ar, takes ar mags, eats any ammo, if you can find one and are willing to stomach the cost, they are supposed to be great rifles. I gave up on finding one (watch they will be available next week lol) so I bought another AK, Arsenal SLR107R (non folding full size ...

Re: Need travel case suggestions for revolvers

I am going to suggest a Pelican case like this: https://cotradeco.com/products/2275-pelican-1170-pistol-case-w-foam-insert or a Haliburton case like this: http://zerohalliburton.com/lifestyle/camera-cases/ I personally use a Haliburton case that is bare aluminum because it looks like camera gear an...

Need travel case suggestions for revolvers

Hello all! Travelling to California here in the next few weeks and plan on putting a few wheel guns. I'm very well aware of TSA travel guidelines, have a few hard side rifle cases that are approved, need one to fit up to 4 large revolvers, including a scoped 7.5 inch Super Redhawk. Does anyone have ...

Re: 6 inch Talo Gp100 on the way...

I ended up just putting Williams firesight fiber optics on the gp100 and used the supplied rights for my SRH to mount a Simmons ProHunter 2-6x32 on the Super Redhawk instead. I can't see shooting .357 more than 50 yards although I do plan to take a deer this year with the Super Redhawk instead. The ...

6 inch Talo Gp100 on the way...

Broke down and decided I am going to hunt a deer next year, as well as star shooting distance, with a revolver. So, for a combined 2 birthday presents plus Christmas (since I bought it for myself lol) I ordered a Ruger GP100 Talk 6" barrel with an unfluted cylinder. I also ordered a Jack Wiegand no ...

I'll check distributor availability on those mags when I get to work, and check to see about the legalities of shipping mags to Canada when I get to work tonight for you. -FreuderLocks Thanks! Re: NAA Super Companion "Conversion therapy"

There is a customer who comes in to the range/shop with his, as a belt buckle...ugh. he shoots it pretty regularly, the times I've fired it, best group was about 14 inch keyholes at 3 yards. I'd still hate to get hit with anything, but I'm pretty sure, even at my size, if you shot me with something ...

Re: Time for a gun muffler, rifle can suggestions...

I would just like to say that the last time I tried to figure out which can was right for me I was shocked at how much more nebulous the can market is then other things. I think proprietary mounting options make folks stick to one brand more the other items, and not so many folks have enough money ...

Re: Time for a gun muffler, rifle can suggestions...

There is a 7.62 Saker available at my shop, so I !right just pay for it today, barring any other suggestions. Its a bit high on price for what I want but I can save a little on it.

Again looking for an all around center-fire rifle can.

Thanks

Re: Time for a gun muffler, rifle can suggestions...

Thanks man. The sdn-6 was also presented to me as an option by a friend. I'm quickly learning that there are few, if any, user serviceable cans for rifles on the market. I got introduced to someone at PhoenixWeaponry in longmont Colorado, they make a monocore, serviceable direct thread rifle can, bu...

OK, thanks for the info. Like I said, making one my self is something im interested in down the road.

I was looking at the sdn-6 , Saker 7.62, Omega, etc. Anybody have any other suggestions for a good all around rifle can?

Thanks again guys.

Re: Time for a gun muffler, rifle can suggestions...

A local gunsmith also said he could do a can for around $250. Paying someone to get it done right, the first time, is higher on my list than trying myself. I'm fairly handy, but I'd rather leave it up to someone with the tools and experience. Cool idea though, I'd certainly entertain the idea at a ...

Re: Time for a gun muffler, rifle can suggestions...

Do a Form 1 and roll your own. It is not difficult, I made two in one day on my first try and they came out perfectly and cost a fraction of what commercial cans cost. I used Ti for the tube, spacer, end cap, and thread protector and SS for the baffles and it still cost me less than a carbon steel ...

Re: Time for a gun muffler, rifle can suggestions...

I love my Silencerco Omega. I have ASR mounts on my 11" SBR and 24" AR-10 and can merrily switch it between the two. A guy who owns an older AAC suppressor complained that this .30 caliber can was quieter on my SBR than his dedicated 5.56 can was on his SBR. I am not detecting any point of impact c...
