Re: St Louis area twisters/storms, ZS01 check in.

Foehunter and I are fine. The only casualty being our cheap plastic outdoor table which lost a leg when it was thrown against the lawnmower. As usual, the storm front did that strange split thing and managed to avoid Collinsville entirely. If you live east of the bluffs, it happens 90% of the time.

Re: Using candles

Love this thread. As someone who sells for PartyLite and makes her own candles often, here are some things to think about. - Kudos to Necrodamus for mentioning lead in candle wicks. Always check the candles you buy to make sure they are 100% cotton. (PartyLite's are.) Most premade wicks for making y...

For those of you who visit Pere Marquette State Park

Hi everyone, I have yet another unzombified post for you. For those of you who have visited Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, Illinois before, you know how large and beautiful it is. You may not know that there are 3 group camps, equipped with cabins, kitchens and two have swimming pools. The ca...

For the ladies of ZSC:001

I'm just getting the word out. And this time it's not a theater performance, although I do have another one coming up soon. =) I've just recently become a PartyLite consultant. I'm still getting my business started and to do that I need to book some parties! Soooo... would you like to have one? If y...

Re: If you could have ANY weapon real or fake to fend off zeds

As I have said before, I need a large pit, full of spikes, and lined on all sides with banana peels. Hilarious and effective. If it fails, the Holy Hand-granade of Antioch will do. =)

Re: Honeybee population continues to shrink

I've hardly seen any bees so far this season, but I've seen wasps by the handful. I so wish I could have some land and do some beekeeping. Let me know if anyone else feels this way, but the more we ruin our land, the more I feel like if we are going to survive we need to be able to (as individuals o...

Re: What are you foraging ? Here's some new ones I've tried .

Nah, I'm still kinda new at the whole foraging thing. I did pick some wild chives to freeze and this time of year I use dandelion greens instead of lettuce. But I'm curious about one thing. Last summer I tried a may apple for the first time and it was pretty bad. I picked it sometime in July and it ...

Nice work. You've inspired me to put finish on the ones I own.

On a lighter note, you could expand your customer base my making some with glitter in the finish for the Twilight crowd. Every girl over the age of 9 would want one.

Re: We're performing in St. Louis!

On a personal note, this was the first double album (London cast) I learned to sing from start to finish (age six). Need a Caiaphas? If we do the show again I'll post auditions. We always need more men and if you can sing bass like that we can totally use you. Our Caiaphas was pretty good, but need...

We're performing in St. Louis!

Hey folks! It's been sooooo long, and I'm posting this on short notice, but our theater troupe is performing Jesus Christ Superstar at St. Pius V Catholic Church on Saturday March 20th and Sunday March 21st at 7:00pm. We've done this show before but this time it's a fundraiser for a struggling congr...

Hey, my rule is, if it isn't visibly growing mold on it, it's perfectly fine. Go you for being brave and trying it now rather than waiting till you are in a desparate situation and hoping for the best.

Re: Lowe's Hardware to offer solar panel DIY kits next year

Just as a little side note: I bought solar powered Christmas lights this year. We have no outdoor outlets so I was soooo excited about actually being able to put a strand of lights on the house. AND...ta da....They sucked. One strand didn't work at all and the other one worked for approximately 3 se...

LOL!!!! I didn't realize what board this was posted in. Sorry folks. I haven't bought any gun stuff. (But I could say that these nails are pretty effective weapons.) Anyway, carry on your discussion about something else entirely...
