Re: Explosions at Boston Marathon

I'm still not use to outright cursing on forums, but I have to say it, and I apologize in advance. It might be a girl with long dark hair, thanks to the mother fuckers on ABCnews.com spashing a picture of a what I assume is the dad crying over her body on their timeline/live update. There is report...

Re: Safety at the atm

The bank branch I use has a little indoor ATM area, open 24 hrs, with lights all over it inside and out - with the door to your left. They also have mirrors in both corners so you can see the entire room with ease.

I like it when a bank actually helps keep me safe. ;)

I'd imagine your store would look a whole lot like Canfield's in Omaha, that kinda what you had in mind?

Re: Apophis asteroid

Don't nukes do most of their structural damage through pushing the atmosphere around, really fast? Also, that whole thermal radiation part is gone.

I'm not sure that would work so well on a rock in space.

Re: What do wounds feel like?

I work in a factory with a lot of very hot pieces of metal, so burns and I are fairly well acquainted. One thing I didn't really see mentioned is that even minimal exposure of the burn to radiant heat (like being near a campfire or a big vat of molten metal) hurts. A lot. Like someone just punched i...

They penalized him twice for it, they took a point from him which broughtthe score from 7-6 to 6-6 then used it as the tie-breaker which cost him the match.

Damnit, I thought I was far enough away from the door otherwise I would have done that to her!

Assuming I was invited into the locker room:

If not:

Re: Interactive Scenario (AKA "Writer's Purgatory")

You are next to where the door opens, leaning against the adjacent wall (you weren't expecting such an immediate response from simply pushing down on the handle slightly, and were prepared for a straightforward zombie advance only). The door opens out. [Try to de-escalate the situation without drop...

Re: Interactive Scenario (AKA "Writer's Purgatory")

You venture over to the locker room, Shotgun at the ready. The crossing was as clear as you had left it a few minutes ago, but you couldn't be too sure with those things. You try the door. Something metal and cold is jammed into your head from the crack in the doorway. You hear a 'clik'. "Drop. The...

I believe you intended this entire post as a joke, however if not (and for those thinking it was serious)... Why would the act of protecting oneself by dressing as a man be worse than protecting oneself in another way; say carrying a bazooka, or something? Passing as a man AVOIDS many problems in t...

Re: Where do you live? Really, look again! What do you think

I live in a city of 25,000 - about 45 mins from Omaha(390,000) and an hour from Lincoln(242,000) and the entire state of Nebraska has 1.5 million.

I don't know how many people will BO rather than just try to raid the fields around the cities (depending on the season) but stay around town.
