chiappa 9mm m1 carbine- anyone got experience? does it suck

At my local gun dealer I saw one of these little gems today, and the lusting after it has fully set in.... Understand, I am well versed in the limitations of a pcc, and all that, and this is not the issue.... Apparently, a lot of folks have had ftf issues, and this throws me onto the horns of a dile...

20 rd Chinese made sks fixed magazine and 922r compliance

So as the rather wordy title states, I lucked into one of the old 20 round star fixed mags, and want to install it on my stock norinco, but am concerned about running afoul of the dreaded 922r.... What say ye, and what advice can you give?

Re: surplus platform scout/deer rifle, gimme what ya got

You cannot, for the record, redo a .303 enfield into 7.62, or .308... Brits tried, it ended ugly... The ishapore is redesigned completely andmade specifically for the more powerful cartridge...also, ishapores tend to run cheaper, by a lot, than a genuine jungle carbine.... One can, however, cut down...

anybody tried soylent?

Nope, its not a joke, somebody actually created a product called soylent as a just add water, complete meal replacement....anybody tried it, and how does it taste?... Seems an easy and relatively cheap long term storage idea, it is supposed to provide everything you need in a smoothy three times a d...

Re: Its finally here. (Single stack Glock)

I saw the 43 last week. Like a lot of men, figured nbd, it is a slightly bigger than most of is competition concealment gun, nothing that has not been done before. Then i watched my girlfriend see it for the first time.... And i think a lot of us guys are missing the power of a juat noticeable diffe...

Re: Worst SHTF Handgun

I have to go with the majority opinion, that a small caliber derringer, especially if it is a. 25, is the worst to be stuck with. A .22 has utility, but a tiny barrel and bad sights robs it of that and a .25 marries a very low power to a large difficulty with resupply.

Re: The usefulness of the 22 autoloder, or lack thereof.

Long term, 22lr is a winning caliber, if you stocked up. And realistically, treckin a huge distance on foot, its possible to take 500 rounds on your person and barely notice... The argument here ought to be between .22 Rifle, and pistol... The only bonus to the pistol is possible concealablity beyon...

Re: My new range toy love affair.... is a HiPoint??

I do nit own a hi point pistol, yet. But i love their carbine, got mine used for 150.00 and it has performed flawlessly for over five years now.... Have had several friends who like their pistols, and a few who do not. Part of that may be that the straight blowback action is not forgiving of a loose...

Hey guys. As per request, i am posting here. In the last year i have gone from a prepper with a number of medical problems to full on disabled. My kidneys failed, and tried to take me too, causing a heart attack due to fluid overload, and pneumonia as well.... All this landed me in the icu, unconsco...

Real danger made me reconsider a few things....

I should state, from the outset, a few things- I am not high speed low drag. I am not a soldier, sailor, cop, or any kind of operator- hell, I can barely operate a phone. I have carried a gun professionally a time or two, been in fights, been threatened, and been in what I consider real danger. But ...

Anyone own or got a review of Caracal's guns?

Pretty well says it all, saw their stuff, and am curious as to whether its worth the buck... also saw the recall notice, so there is that- still, every manufacturer seems to recall every now and then- so any user info?

Re: Hi Point firearms.

I own the carbine in 9mm, and love it- it has been nothing but reliable for me.
I will own the pistol as a glove box / truck gun, as it will be something that I can afford to have stolen in the event that were to happen, not something i would risk with my rugers, browning, or sig....

Re: Are you good with what you have ?

I have tried a buncha different weapons, and owned a whole bunch too- and at this point I feel that I have what I need for me and a few friends, should it come to that- that said, I will likely never stop collecting, and trading guns, in search of the penultimate mousetrap. as to ammo- for pistol an...

keep it, you may regret selling it, and ammo is easier to get than a good weapon- just stack the 9mm deep, and remember to keep up with replacing what you use

good little shooters with a lot of punch- makes a tiny hole through a whole lotta whatever you shoot- and many moons ago, they had a lot of press for that in europe, were sorta the 5.7 of the day, and did defeat a lot of the early body armor.... pics would be awesome, cause if you got a tt-30, at an...

What does the Collective Say on the Kel-tec p-32?

Got to handle one recently, with the 10 round extended mag, it was a great fit for my hand, and small enough for the Missouri summers as a ccw - SO I ask you all, for experiences with this model, good, bad, ugly, and such - I am ok with the mouse hunting caliber, as i have bigger calibers at my disp...

by the bed, still upstairs if something happens, but that is acceptable- if an earthshake hits, it is likely to be a big un, so it will be near the top of the pile, and if not, then I hope I can get to it. anywhere is a risk, and I see no way other than multiple kits to reduce the risk of not being ...

Re: What Guns Would You Avoid Buying Based on Performance?

Have had good luck with most surplus pistols, the exception being my enfield .38- the hammer has a spring aligning it properly, and it is fubar, resulting in a lot of ftf malfs,- on the other end of it, I became a believer in torture testing this past weekend, carried a sidearm at a security gig, a ...
