Re: Got a DE (safety) Razor

I have been wet shaving for about two years now. Between blades only costing $.10/each and soap/cream refills only being a couple bucks, it's far and away much more frugal than the modern cartridge shaving. If you want to hone your skill with a steady hand, a straight razor is a fun experience as we...

Howdy from Texas! I actually spent the summer working in northern LA, it's always good to see more members from Louisiana on here.

Re: .380ACP idea's

Southern North America gets hot, and its summer now. What's a good size? I carry either a Ruger LC9 or a Glock 19 (both 9mm) depending on how much driving I'm planning on doing. And I'm working/living in Louisiana/East TX, so that includes a fair amount of swamp-ass. The LC9 was pretty inexpensive ...

Re: The All Purpose AK Thread

Roll pin through the notch in the RSB, and a new "modified leaf spring" that is threaded and fits in the leaf spring slot. Apply loctite to the screw, and I also put a nylon washer between the mount and leaf spring for a little more secure fit. The optic is offset to the right to clear the emitter ...

Re: The All Purpose AK Thread

My suggestion is the newer version of the Attero Arms Bravo mount- it is very similar in profile to the MI Mini Dot but the mounting system is much simpler and more secure. How does the cowitness compare? Is it about the same (lower 1/3)? I'm looking at the picture of it, but how does it hold secur...

Re: The All Purpose AK Thread

So I have a primary arms microdot that I'm looking to mount onto my AK. I cant decide bwtween the Ultimak railed gas tube and the Midwest Industries rear-sight mount. From what I've gathered the Ultimak is probably going to be more solid secure, but the optic is further forward and gets really hot. ...

Picked up a Ruger LC9, 250 rounds of 9mm, and 10 rounds of 00 buck.

Now I'm just itching to get out to the range to try out my new gun.

Re: Camelbak Tri Zip - what pouches/pockets work the best?

I have a Trizip as well, but I haven't really put many pockets on it. Usually though, I'll lash my sleeping pad/woobie to the bottom webbing and I just have some small med/misc pouches on the sides. Putting too many pockets shifts the center of balance back, and I find that I don't like the way it s...

Working in Louisiana this summer.

Howdy guys, So I'm going to be working out of Natchitoches, Louisiana this summer and living in Campti. I was wondering what there was to do around there, and whether anyone is nearby and wanting to meet for coffee or a beer. I've also done my research on concealed carry in LA, but if y'all have any...

Re: AR Jam

I had a similar experience using snap caps in my AK. I ended up having to stomp down on the charging handle a couple times to knock it loose. But i do NOT recommend you do that with your AR. I would try taking a long wooden dowel and try tapping it down the barrel with a rubber mallet to knock it lo...
